I need a simple quilt pattern or idea!

Hey. Smile I would like to make a baby quilt, but it needs to be mega mega mega mega simple because although i can sew on my sewing machine, i don't know all the lingo and i'm very much a novice.

Does anyone have a simple pattern / idea i can follow? I would like to do two - one pink, one blue and also to sew the baby's names onto each one. Smile

there is always a block quilt...
just a bunch of squares...
all you have to do is decide on the size quilt you want...
or i just make my rows with about 5 or so squares and then just do those till i am happy with it...

If you want it to be super simple, you can just buy a top material that already has a nice pattern on it so you don't really even have to sew blocks together. You would just need the top pattern, and underside pattern and a border (oh, and the inside batting).

Thanks ladies!

I did decide to go for the simplest option and got some mega cute classic pooh fabric to use without making patchwork. Now i just need to put it all together!! Lol

good luck on your quilt, i make easy patchwork quilts too, and do a satin blanket edging around the outside. They're pretty simple to make, and pretty rewarding because it really looks nice when you're done.

here are some that i've done

Oooh i love those quilts!!! I really like the satin round the edge too. I was going to use silky fabric cause it's nice and comforting. Smile

mommycarrie--I love your quilts. I used to quilt and haven't done any for a long time. Now you are making want to do one.
