My name is Tori (31) and DH is Tyler (36). We have been married for 8 years and together for 14. We have one DS Jacob who was born 5/15/08. We also have a furry son Max- our yellow lab.

I got my BFP on July 5th- 15 DPO. Here are some test pics:



Appointments:
July 27th- 8 weeks initial visit
September 2nd- 12 weeks scan; hb 156; not much movement- its a lazy bean!!
September 28th- 16 weeks- failed diabetic screening- 3 hour test turned out fine- great heartbeat, doc says "sounds like another boy"
October 26th- THE BIG U/S: ITS A GIRL!!!!!
November 25th- everything looks good
December 20th- another glucose test- passed

I gained 60lbs with DS and am really trying not to gain that much this time around:

Appointment #1 - August 10, 2009

Met with one of the midwives and did an extensive family history, chatted about diet and weight gain. Also discussed my hypothyroidism and made an appointment to see the endocrinologist next week to keep tabs on my thyroid hormone levels. Had 4 vials of blood drawn and an ultrasound to date the pregnancy. Baby was measuring 5 days ahead of my LMP (due to my short cycles) so my official due date is now St. Patrick's Day! I come back in 2 weeks for a physical exam

Appointment #2 - August 24, 2009

Today I met another one of the midwives, Penny, and had a routine appointment. I met another one of the midwives today, Penny. I really liked her. She did a quick pelvic exam and all looked normal, uterus measuring 11 weeks.

BP: 118/70
Weight: gained 1 lb
Urine: negative

She tried to find the baby's heartbeat using the doppler but was unable to since my uterus is still tucked behind my pubic bone. So she sent me down for a quick ultrasound to get the baby's heart tones. Not that I was gonna complain about that! I'm so amazed at how much s/he has grown in just 2 weeks! His/her heart rate was a very healthy 179 BPM! Now I don't go back for another 4 weeks! Yay!

Symptoms
19DPO on and off nausea especially if I don't eat as soon as I realize I am hungry; thirsty all the time; metallic taste in my mouth; dull backache; tight feeling in lower abdomen, like I have been doing crunches; scary dreams.
