Default Need some advice

Hey all, new here to these boards and I need some thoughts about my current situation. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 6 years now, and it is a serious relationship to say the least. We have lived together for a large part of those 6 years and like everyone have had our share of ups and downs. I have known for a long time that I want a family and have not kept that a secret in any way from my boyfriend. Both of our families are very different, mine is very close (except for me and one of my cousins everyone lives in New England), his is very split apart and they live all over the country. This past month, we decided to roll the dice and go unprotected twice. Originally I thought I was past ovulation, but 2 days after our first time I got some cramping and realized that it was pretty much in the middle if my cycle was around 30 days. The second time was well beyond when I should have ovulated and would have been around the 28 day mark. I looked back at the last few months and the cycles have been as follows 29 days, 29 days, 35 days and 36 days (for the last 4 months). AF was September 25th and my original thought of ovulation (due to the cramps) was October 10th or 11th. I took test on October 31st assuming that if I was pregnant it would have shown up then and it came out negative however it wasn't the first pee of the day it was the second. Today is day 39 and I'm starting to get nervous because AF hasn't shown up yet. I don't really have any major symptoms (at least that I think are abnormal) except for frequent sharp pains in my abdomen area. They are not specific to one place and are just all over my stomach area. I did experience some cramping 2-4 days ago, the same that I would have cramped if I had gotten AF. I plan on taking another test this weekend to be on the safe side. I guess I'm wondering when I should really panic, when I should call my doctor, or is this just because I'm stressing and stuff and that's why I'm later than normal?

Sorry it was so long winded.
Thanks,
Cal

Well a blood test is always going to be more accurate. If your home tests still come up negative this weekend with no show of AF, I would suggest going to your doctor or a clinic and getting a blood test. Good luck!
