you know, there is really only one thing between us and having more kids. money.
i hate money. 1. we live in a 1 bedroom apartment, clearly need to upgrade to more bedrooms before we add another person to this place. a dining table and place to put it would be nice too. 2. we would like to buy a house. really. and if we dont, see #1 anyway. 3. we have credit card debt. we're working on that. 4. our vehicles are in "broke-a$$" condition. need upgrade. 5. i have to work so we can make ends meet, so scheduling is tricky at best. if we won the lottery... we could fix it all! |

We live on one income and it's difficult...BUT, we've eliminated almost all our debt (still have a tiny bit to go) own our vehicle and use coupons/rebates on our food. I shop only the best organic brands etc BUT am able to do it on very little because of the rebates and coupons....it saves us a LOT! I hear you though!! It's tough making that decision to have more!! |

once we take a chunk out of the debt, we will probably be able to as well, especially if we move, because it wont be worth it for me to work if i have to drive instead of walk to work!
i always find that the store brands here are still cheaper than the name brands WITH coupon! so i shop sales and do without anything we cant afford. |

Money SUCKS. 99% of the people I know say they would have more kids but they're "too expensive". There are arguements for both sides of that arguement OBVIOUSLY, but it's a legitimate worry when planning a family!
Sounds like you have some long term goals and plans. There is no rush to have more (or is there?)! Don't worry about age gaps etc. Your kids will be fine

i just WANT lots of kids. i just want them! maybe i should volunteer to babysit for a weekend again, i have a friend with 4 kids, plus mine, that should drive me nuts... right?
and good news on the $$ front, my BIL paid us some money he owed us and we now only have balances on 2 credit cards. and DH got parts for his truck. and a friend went to look at an apartment today and i'm SOOO jealous that i'm looking at new places now, we have to move! if only because there are too many people who know where we live and come by to annoy us... I truly believe in positive vibes...for example The Secret [heard about it on Oprah] talks about LOVING money. When you put out the vibes that you love money, you'll put yourself in a positive mindframe to where you might be more receptive to getting money.
just a thought. I tried it out when I was working, and it really helped me stay positive and reach some goals |

just wanted to update, we've gone from 3600 in debt in may (2200 in april, DH had to buy a truck!) to a little over 2900 right now. progress! if we can keep moving that fast, we'll be out of debt pretty soon!
and i think the vehicles will last a little longer, we just had to replace a part in my explorer, but it runs so much better now! and the landlord is giving us october rent free so we can get moved during october! |

There is never enough money for a new baby! However is sounds like you are making some positive goals to reach the point where you would be comfortable having another baby.
When my baby was 2 weeks old my DH lost his job after 4 months he started working 9 hours a week foir $6.50/ hr and in Sept finally got a job that would support us minimally. I have to say that we recieved so much help in the area of baby clothing, high chair etc that our baby did not go without. It was hard for us as we were unable to buy her any toys until her first birthday. I had to be creative and make her rattles and such but it all worked out. |
