My husband and I are separted and this makes all of this even more stressful. We are obviously tring to work things out since I may be pregnant.

Here's the deal...

I had my last period the week of Oct 5th. My husband and I made love on Oct 12, the first time in six months. I had bloodwork taken for the following Wednesday for a surgery I had on my knee. The results came back negative. Now, I've done my homework and I know that it can take 6-10 days before hormone levels will be changed enough to show up on a blood test.

I should have started my period this past Monday and I still have not started. My period comes every month like clockwork. I've started getting queezy in the mornings will week and a little bit in the late evenings.

My mother is staying with me to help me out since my surgery two weeks ago and I am keeping all of this a secret until I know for sure my husband and I are going to work things out and until I'm sure that I'm pregnant or not. So, taking a home test is difficult since I cannot drive and I cannot seem to get any alone time from her.

I've decided that if I don't get my period by the end of next week I will have one of my girlfriends get me a test and sneak it without my mother knowing.

My husband brought it up to me last week that he was hoping I was pregnant, he was getting all excited since I hadn't had my period yet. My friends say my queezy feelings and my hot flashes that I sometimes get sounds like I'm pregnant so I need opinions and maybe advice from other people.

What do you think?

It's very possible you're pregnant. If you're taking meds from your surgery, you might want to find out sooner rather than later. Could you ask your husband to help out with getting you a test?

I'm sure I could. I stopped taking my pain pills just in case. I am getting headaches now from stopping the pills I've been on for almost two weeks. I'll live with it though. If I am pregnant I do not want to harm anything. If I don't get my period within 1 week I'll take a test. I'm hopeful that I am but I'm trying not to get super excited just in case I'm not pregnant.

Was the first day of your last period Oct. 5th or sometime during that week? If you had sex on the 12th and your last period started Oct. 5th that would mean you were on Cycle Day 8 at the time. Unless you are an early ovulater you probably didn't O until around CD 14, 5 or 6 days later. While it's certainly possible you are pregnant, I would say it's unlikely. You're probably late this cycle due to surgery and/or stress. I'm sorry to hear you and DH are having rocky times. I hope you are able to work through it.
