Default The view from our front door...(OT)

We just got hit by a winter storm (2nd one this year) and we have about 1/2" of ice on the ground and 6 inches of snow. I know to all you Northerners, that's not a big deal, but in OK we don't see it all that often!

Love the country!

We don't get much snow either here in SC....This is a pic taken out our back door this morning...mostly ice, ice, and more ice!

Brrrr! As a sunny California girl I cannot imagine! The one thing that reliably calms DD down is going for a walk outside. It's hard enough for me to motivate myself to get us bundled up when the temperature is in the 50's Fahrenheit. Let alone if it was snowy/icy? I am such a wimp.

Marie, I guess this same storm went east and hit AR, TN, NC, SC. Crazy! It's very pretty though. It's nice to get it every once in a while.
Laura, I don't deal well with it staying around, but as long as it's only cold and icy for a few days, I can handle it.
I have no idea how you guys up in Canada and the northern US can do this all winter long....

We got about 6-7 inches in central NC as well. Being a So Cal girl, I love when it snows. But being stuck in the house now for 2 days...oy.

You really get used to the cold once you have been in it though. At least here you do. We have fairly mild weather. Only 5 inches of snow total per year on average.

We got 4". Life as we know it shut down. Even now that it is just about all gone church was canceled today and my husband's work is closed tomorrow. Southern TN is just not used to 4" of snow.
