Lily is pulling herself up and cruising but she really only started crawling about 3-4 weeks ago. I had been concerned because babies 3-6 weeks younger than her in her daycare class had been crawling for awhile and Lily was just content to sit and play and then literally one Friday they told me she moved forward a few feet and that weekend started it all. It's just like a light goes off with them and it can change instantly. Lily will now move up and down furniture and move from one to another if she can reach for it before taking a step. We got her a little push and ride on scooter type thing at TRU and she loves it.

I wouldn't worry about her at this age. She'll do it on her own time. I would ask the doctor, though, just to see what he/she has to say about it and see if any testing needs to be done |

OJ is cruising. I think she's very close to walking- she's attempted a step a couple times but fell down.

I checked cruising, but really Vivien is just standing. I'm sure she'll cruise before long.
FWIW, I didn't crawl until 11 months and didn't walk until 15 months, and there's nothing "wrong" with me. I'm not much of an athlete, but other than that....I can walk just fine now! |

W've been scooting for a few months now, and cruising for maybe a month. Then just yesterday we put him behind his Mater(from Cars) ride-on truck, and he held the handle and actually walked behind it for a few feet. So we're on our way. He'll kind of walk a bit if you're holding both his hands up. He'll stand unassisted sometimes, but only for maybe a second. Gotta start somewhere I guess.
I just got him the cutest little sandals to wear in Mexico. |

Ava also isnt doing much. At her 9 month appt the dr seemed a little concerned. He said that if she didnt do certain things 6 weeks from her appt that he wanted me to bring her back in and look into having someone evaluate her for therapy. She is going in on the 18th for her second flu shot so Im going to see what he says then. Sometimes I just feel like its her being lazy. She doesnt even try to stand while I hold her hands or arms. She buckles her legs and freaks out. Its so frustrating sometimes because I feel like maybe im not doing all that I should be, but at the same time I know so many moms who dont work with their babies at all and they do so much more then Ava. The only thing she can do is sit up and roll off of her stomach. She hates her stomach and I cant keep her on it long enough to work with her. Everyone tells me she is fine and will do things when she is ready but I figure if she needs it I would rather get her therapy sooner then later.

I honestly don't think anything is wrong. I worked at a daycare and this boy was just happy laying there. He wasn't even sitting up at 9 months. He is just fine now. I saw him at WM the other day just running everywhere! I know it's easier said then done to not worry. If you are worried, ask your doc. I blame Randy walking on trying to keep up with sis.
Randy is walking pretty good now. It's crazy how he went from a few steps, to walking everywhere. He is still wobbly and hits his head on everything.
