I am pretty sure DH and our families are all going in on getting me a DSLR for Christmas... I will get a 50mm lens to get started, but which body to get???

I have a 40D and I am loving it. They don't make it anymore tho. I know they have the 50D and I think the newest one is the 7D. I would look into that.

I'd look at the 7D, I have heard that the 50 is not as good as the 40D
