Default weight gain

has anyone not gained weight? i have gained maybe a pound. i thought for sure with the second I would gain more quickly. I am definately showing. makes me a little nervous, like maybe I am not getting my baby enough nourishment. but I am eating less and better. I know the weight will be coming. with dd the dr said he was not concerned because I was not real "skinny" to start with

I'm a pound under where I started. I definitely didn't start out skinny so I'm not concerned. Last time was pretty much the same up to this point; in the end I gained about 15 pounds total, all in the second half of the pregnancy.

I'm still losing weight! But I have the weight to lose, let me tell you. At this point, I'm about 30 pounds under my pre-pregnancy weight.

I have not gained any weight (the Dr and I will have a disargreement abou tthis at my next appointment I am sure) but I weight first thing in the monring after I have my morning pee in the same thing.. the good old b-day suit (TMI) when i go to the dr office its random times throughout the day some after 1 meal some after two so it plays a factor in what the scale shows. I am not to concerend about it as I know I am eating much better this time around then I did last time (last time i figuredi could sluprge and follow every craving) this time I do have some of my cravings alshtough not often because i have to be carful at wha ti eat and when i eat it because of my gall bladder.

pre-pregnancy I was 127.8 by my scale. I gained 4 pounds by week 7 (mostly in my boobs)...and haven't gained since. I'm hoping to put on two pounds in time for my next apptment in 12 days, because I'm worried my midwife, who is on the fleshier side and is also pregnant, may get after me for not gaining weight. But, I was still throwing up over the weekend, so I think it's amazing I haven't lost weight.
My husband commented this morning that my stomach is getting harder - at first it got puffy due to bloat, but it has stayed the same size, just getting harder.

Oh, and I've decided not to worry about the nourishment during my vomit period (I was panicking becuase i couldn't keep healthy food down, and was living off of Life cereal, poptarts and yogurts) - did you read the weight obsession article? What was helpful in it was the study of the pregnancies during WWII - starvation during trimesters 1 and 2 didn't seem to hurt the babies. I'm not supporting obsessive weight control, I'm just saying don't create extra stress about nutrition during morning sicknesss. As my midwife said, we don't live in a third world country - most of us, if we were planning the pregnancy, came into this well-nourished and without any preexisting vitamin deficiencies, so our babies had good stock to draw on.

at the last appt i was down .2kg from week 4 which was a little bigger due to bloat and increased appetite! not going to worry about it too much here, as long as babe is healthy and i am making an attempt to get some healthy stuff in me (for every couple cookie binges have a carrot binge!) then i'm happy. that said i was 200lbs to start with so no big loss here!!

I've gained 16 pounds so far, but that's totally normal for me. I still only gain around 30 for the entire pregnancy. (At least that's been the case with my other 3).
