Default when should I feed him???

I know we have been through this whole schedule malarky a million times but I'm slightly confuzzled...I can't seem to get Jacobs morning solid feed right, last week it wasn't too bad, he had his boobies then after about half hour I offered him some solids which he wasn't too keen on but he tried some of it. This week we just don't seem to get it right, yesterday he was asleep most of the day, today he just didn't seem to want it and just wanted to fling the spoon around. so am I doing the right thing waiting a bit between boob & solid? should I make the feeds closer but then if he stops eating boob cos he's full surely he isn't going to want anything else? if I wait too long it encroaches on his nap time

I'm sorry I don't have much in terms of advice on how to get his schedule how you want it.

To be honest with you I don't worry much over a schedule with food. It is for practice at this point so anything I can fit in is ok for me. K usually gets a veggie and grain food earlier in the day and then baby yogurt in the afternoon or a fruit. Sometimes he skips one or occasionally both, other days he demands more solids and I give him more stuff.

My point I guess is to not stress too much over it. Do what seems to be the natural flow for you and I bet it will become a schedule over time. Sleep/teething/mood/whatever affect their schedules so much that it won't likely be very consistent for quite a while. This is all my opinion, feel free to disagree .

I am bad- I give Cooper his cereal/fruit first and then give him the bottle right afterwards. I know it's more important still for him to have the formula, but he finishes off all of what I give him, so I'm not worried. When I first started putting fruit in the cereal, he drank less of the bottle, so I backed off the amount of cereal I was giving him until it's now just a bit more than he was eating before and now he finishes the bottle again.

Sorry- I probably should add that he usually wakes around 7:45-8 but doesn't eat breakfast until after we've dropped Sierra off at school, about 8:45. How long is Jacob up before breakfast? Maybe he needs a bit to get hungry?

he usually wakes up between 07:30 and 08:00 and typically gets his milk at 08:00 ish. I might just try giving him some in the afternoon when he is awake for longer periods...

We only recently were able to get morning solids in and K has been on solids for 2.5 months now. I also feed hi solids and then a bottle. It may not work for all kids but he is such a little piggy that it doesn't dent his formula feeding. He has gained 2 lbs since his 6.5 month checkup 2-3 weeks ago. I thought they slowed down with the growing after 6 months, K didn't get that memo.

Alexa does best with solids 1 hour after her feeding, and sometimes asks for milk right after. It doesn't seem to have decreased what she eats.

I know you're supposed to do boob/formula first but I never do. Mason wakes up around 7-8 and I actually get him out of bed at 8-9, so he hangs out and talks to himself for like an hour. He gets cereal mixed with fruit first, then when he's done that I nurse him. You just gotta find what works for you.
