I don't think anyone ever started a July chat... Oh well. Welcome August! What's going on this month?

Happy August! This summer has definitely flown by. Been mostly working here but I get a bit of a break for August. The family I work for went to Colorado for the month and so I'm working casual again until September. I'm alright with it though because it gives me a chance to choose when I want to work for a month. Plus August is starting out great weather wise.

Gardens are growing fast - my zucchini has taken off this year (got nothing last year). I've already have made a couple kinds of jams and looking for more recipes to try. Attempted Radish Relish but haven't tried it yet. Hoping it turns out.

    How's everyone else doing?

Oh, zuchini is one of my favourites! I wish I had a garden!!! Do you make chocolate zuchini loaf? I have an awesome recipe for it if you dont (assuming you like chocolate).

We're off to a wedding 8 hours away at the end of the month. It's actually back where we are from so we're staying with DH's Mom. I'm looking forward to the wedding and seeing everyone back home but I think it will be hard on Simon, since his schedule will get all messed up and he'll have to sleep in his playpen which I dont think it nearly as comfortable as his crib. I hope he does ok!!

Hey ladies. Well this weekend we are camping so hopefully the weather cooperates where its not rainy.

Our garden did wonderful to. We had quite a few tomatoes from one plant, harvested lots of onions and carrots. Lettuce was the first to be done and plentiful to. Our pumpkins are growing good it seems.

Aug is always busy for us. So many birthdays, county fairs, etc. I really want to work in taking a trip to the beach on lake michigan at some point...alex just loves the water and sand. We'll see.

    Happy August ladies!

I guess the biggest thong for us is Nora's birthday on the 14th. We'll have her party on the 13th. I'm excited for that. Other than that, justvgearing up for school to start again.

Hi everyone!! I'm new here.....my August is going to be work work work! I am the manager of a small rental car company (as in I'm the only employee at this shop) and we are SO busy! In fact I need to get outside before it gets too hot and clean some cars :/ My dh and I are also on a co-ed softball team and we have 2 games tonight. I am also going to start teaching Zumba this month, full time next month. So here is my schedule for today:
work 8-5, softball at 7:00, Zumba at 8:00 (i'm not teaching tonight though TG), softball at 9:30....oh how I HATE those late games! I may just not go to the late game and put dd to bed I love playing softball, but I am so ready for it to be over!

At least all this busy-ness is keeping my mind off of having to wait 4 months, 4 weeks, 2 days until TTC #2 LOL

We play co-ed softball too and it's about 2 games a week... we started in May and it will be done around the 3rd week of August, can't wait, getting tired of playing now...

As for August, we are leaving for Gatineau, Quebec on Friday to visit my sis and her family. It is a 11hour drive...urgggggggg with Hunter, hope it goes well.... we plan to visit a big water park there and just hang out, movies and park.

After, it's gonna be relax time before I head back to work on Aug 29th.

we didn't start until the end of June, so oh man, I bet you are super tired of it....I think I would be okay with it if we didn't have the late late games, and if it was on a different night.....I have Zumba Tues & Thurs and our games are on Tuesdays.....I like Zumba WAY more than Softball

have fun with your sis (and good luck with Hunter) 11 hours is a LOOONG car ride

We have family about 10 hours away that we visit at least once every year. We stop about every 3 hours so the girls can stretch their legs. I also buy several small, new toys and put them in paper lunch bags. When Cecelia starts to get restless, I give her a goodie bag. It seems to hold her over until our next scheduled stop. The last hour always seems the toughest. All in all, it's really not too terrible. Good luck!
