Back!

Hey girls! I am once again TOCing! I was on this board about 3 years ago and now I am back. I have an appointment to get my IUD out on July 19th, but DH wants to wait until September to TTC. I want to start as soon as I get that sucker out! LOL! I have two babies...14 month old twins, and I would love to add one more little one to our family. Just wanted to say hi!

Hi and Welcome! You're quite brave to go for another so close to twins! Is there a chance you'd have twins again?

Oh and I am TOC in October so maybe we'll be on a birth board together!

Hi!! Awww twins! I'm a twin, and we're best friends. Funnily enough, we have a brother who is exactly 2 years younger and my mom said it was really great timing.

I hope your stay here is short, and your stay on the TTC board even shorter. Smile

Thanks ladies!! I love having twins! I have always wanted three or four, but DH says 3 is the max. However, we had a hard time getting pg with these babies. We tried for a year and I ended up having a little help to get pg with them . There is nothing wrong with me or DH, and I have gotten pg without help before (ended in mc though), so the doc didn't know why it was taking so long. Anyway, we are going to try for a 3rd, and if it happens it happens, if not, we are happy with two.

My mom's sisters are twins and my great grandmother had a twin, so they do run in my family, so I guess it is possible for me to have spontaneous twins as well.

The thought of having another little baby so close to my twins is somewhat scary, but I am 32 and I don't want to wait much longer to have another one.

I hope we all graduate from here soon!!

Welcome!

If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take to conceive the twins? DH and I tried for about a year before we were successful with DD. I seriously think we were just too ridiculously stressed out and my ovaries knew it. Getting married, buying a house, moving to a new city, starting grad school and a new job, and renovating the new house all in a year while TTC is TOOOOO much. I'm hoping that taking a relaxed approach will help things move more quickly next time. Though if it were to take another year, I'd be OK. I've heard that often times the best cure for whatever fertility challenges a couple has is pregnancy! There are a bunch of ladies on my Oct '10 board who tried for years with their first only to get pregnant on the first try with their second!

It took 14 months to conceive them. But like I said, we had help in the 14th cycle. We tried for a year, then had all the testing done to see what was wrong. Everything was perfect, so no real reason as to why it wasn't happening. I think maybe I was stressing myself out too much. DH and I dated for 8 years before getting married and for 4 of those years I desperately, obsessively wanted to have a baby but had to wait (University, starting career etc). So as soon as we got married we started trying, and I expected it to happen right away and each month that passed I got more stressed about it.

I am hoping that I am one of the ladies that takes forever with the first and gets pg right away with second, well in my case, third Smile But, I would be ok if it took a year. I think if we try for two and it doesn't happen then I will call it quits and be happy with two. We will see. Good luck!

That's about my story to a T. Only, we were about to give up in month 13 and take a break before seeking testing and bingo BFP! The worst part was that DH kept saying for YEARS that we'd get pregnant immediately because he thinks he has super sperm (I think all men have this opinion of their sperm). So all I could think was that it was my fault we weren't pregnant yet.

Here's to hoping we both get pregnant easily or that its at least less stressful the next time around. I think it'll be easier on me this time because at least I know we can get pregnant and have a perfectly perfect baby and I have that perfectly perfect little baby to keep me super busy and let the time fly by.
