What would you be getting a Masters in? For academics, grad school is actually a great time to have kids if its the right program. Undergrad is done right impossible (at least to do it in 4-5 years) given the course load. The only other viable option is to wait until after grad school but then that threatens to derail your career and for us would make us pretty darn old to be popping out kids. PhDs in the hard sciences are different than most other post-grad degrees because we actually get paid to go to school. There's no way we could have done it financially if I'd gone for a masters.
I'm good at obsessing So, glad to join you here. I'm with you on not looking forward to pregnancy. I can not function for about the first half between m/s and exhaustion.
BTW, 30 didn't bother me so much but I just turned 35 and am really not liking that. Ugh!
