Intro - **Been** thinking of conceiving

Hi Ladies Smile

My name is Lynn, been married to DH, Ken for 12 years in August this year. We have 2 DS's, my oldest will be 4 in a month and my youngest is almost a year and a half.

DH and I always have said we'd have 2 maybe 3 kiddos. After #2 arrived he says he is fine with being done. I have just not been able to let go of the idea of 1 more. I have come to realize I definitely want 3 and have been working on DH, who just continues to say "we'll see" I am also 35 and don't want to wait much longer to get this show on the road and like an 18 to 24 month spacing b/w kiddos anyway.

I could go on and on about the back and forth of having another or not but ultimately, to me, it comes down to 5 years from now when I am past the point of having babies I might regret never having another but if we do it neither of us (DH or I) will look back and wish we didn't. So, why not!?! Blum 3

I look forward to chatting with you all.

Hi Lynn!

There's a bunch of us in the 2 kids, hopefully 3 boat! I hope your hubby comes around. Are you hoping to TTC soon?

You sound just like me and my husband. Smile I kept trying to talk myself out of #3, but couldn't! Hope you don't have too hard of a time getting him on board. And quick TTC after that!

Hi Lynn! I am in the same boat as you...I am certain I want 3 and hubby would be happy to stay with 2. Hope your stay here is short! Smile

I am also one with 2 kids thinking about #3. For some reason, that seems to be the hardest decison to make. I know we will do it, just depends on when. I'd say go for it! well, if DH is willing! ;o)

:wavehello: Hi Lynn! Welcome to the board of wafflers. "We'll see" is better than "No way". A lot changes between 18 months and 2 years. Only a few months ago, my DH would have told you he was 90% sure he was fine with 1. Now that DD is sleeping better and we're able to reason with her (some), he's back on board for two. Perhaps your DH will come around in a few months when your littlest DS isn't so little.

Thanks for the welome Smile

Jorgie, I am hoping we are going to JLIH starting ASAP and really hoping I'm preggers by October-ish. I would like to keep from full blown TTC this time b/c I tend to be "all or nothing". So I need to either just completely ignore my cycles and just test when I start getting sick (I've always had bad m/s with my pregnancies) or I'll be full on charting, OPK's and obsessing about when to DTD. Although it's hard to completely ignore what's going on with my body...I've become too familiar with the signs from previous TTC cycles.

Kara, Congratulations on your pregnancy! I shamelessly stalk on pg.org a lot and am familiar with you ladies on the IVF board. I love to see BFP's over there. Biggrin

Noelle and Mel, it's always nice to have company. Wink

Samantha, I'm sorry to see your recent loss. I also responded to your other post. Good luck on your decision about #3.

Erin, I hear ya! That's what I thought too...I'm just trying to figure out if he's saying "we'll see" to pacify me and put me off or because he knows ultimately he'll let me have what I want but doesn't want to say ok too quickly. I agree on having the younger one get older too. I feel DH only thinks of how hard the early years can be when he thinks of adding one more. I know it's tough but in the big picture that time is so brief. He sees it differently.

I am another on in the 2 hoping for 3 boat. Some days I think I am fine with my two wonderful children, then others I don't feel complete. I hope your DH comes around soon for you.

:lurk: I was in the 2 maybe 3 boat for a while there. My DH only wanted 2 and I wasn't sure until my youngest was a little over 2. I went to a baby shower on a day we had a date night scheduled and I was ovulating. I came home and asked my DH if we could try just this one month and POOF! Guess which one of us was more excited with the positive test? He was! We're both thrilled though. Biggrin Good luck to you!

Great story...love this! Biggrin

I'm actually thinking I won't be totally ecstatic when/if I get a BFP because I do not look forward to pregnancy. It's a relatively short period of time in the big picture but I hate to think of what it will be like for my 2 kiddos. I know I'm not the mom I should be during pregnancy. Sad But in the long run I know I'll be happy to add one more kidlet to our family.

I just started a new cycle and asked DH about JLIH starting now. I didn't get much response...just said he's not convinced about having another. Boo!
