Introductions

I've been lurking on here for the past couple of months. I'm a long time member of preg.org, but haven't been on here forever! I have two little girls ages 4 and 3, and DH and I are considering TTC again. I'm still very hesitant, but I can't seem to shake the feeling that someone is missing. Our house is tiny and my world is completely busy with the two we already have or we would be TTC right now.

Currently we're looking at finishing our basement and seeing if we can come to a concrete decision. My heart is made up to have another, but logically I'm having a hard time committing!

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Hi and Welcome! The picture of your girls is adorable!

Many of us on the TOC board are in the have two children, thinking of #3 boat, so you are in good company!

Thank you, the picture is super old. I think that they were 1 and 2 in that photo. Smile

The decision to have one was easy, two was a no brainer, but deciding about whether or not to have three is so difficult!

I figured it was old, but they are still two really cute girls! Smile

Yeah, I agree. I wanted children, so only the timing of #1 was a question, same with #2 because I'd never have an only child (unless I had been unable to conceive). But #3 is a little more of a stretch! My DH and I have decided to have #3 basically because I think we would always regret not having another just because of money/logistics. I also think it's the toddler years that scare us more than later so if we can get through from 2 years old to 5 years old we'll be happy in the long run! LOL!

My thoughts are that babies are relatively easy, it is just when they are 2-5 also that it is so difficult! Not terrible, but certainly not easy. I would also like to lost a bunch of weight, which I'm working on, but I would also like to have a May/June baby due to teaching. I feel like time is running out to pull everything together for next spring. I will hopefully talk to a loan company this week about refinancing with an option to have extra money with the projected value of the house once the work is done. Our house is only worth about what we owe so we're kind of in a bind unless this kind of loan works, but we only have two bedrooms and our second bedroom is too small for 2 kids! Smile

Welcome! Smile

I hear ya on trying to decide about #3. It is hard and I still have a little hangup about the logistics too. But, exactly like you said, I feel like someone is missing...I always envisioned 3. And like Mel said, I don't want to let the money/logistics keep us from having another one. It's not like we won't be able to support another but there are space issues in our house that would have to be dealt with, space in vehicles, etc.

But I know it'll all work out in the end. I also know I'll freak out a little at the same time as I am ecstatically happy if I ever get to see another BFP! Wink
