Hi ladies! Wow... I can't believe it's January already. The end of December just flew by! Since I teach, I've been off the last two weeks. It was a whirlwind break. The first week, a stomach bug hit our house... Blech. Everyone got it except me (thank goodness...mommies don't have time to get sick at Christmas!). Last week DH was off so we spent a lot of family time. New Year's Day was Cecelia's birthday. My big girl is five (sniff, sniff).

How were everyone's holidays?

AWWW happy birthday to Cecelia! That Flu seems to be going around EVERYWHERE! We haven't got it......YET.

Holidays were stressful, I'm glad they're over! I think I've gained at least 10 pounds over the last month and a half (stress over my job + depressed over not being able to TTC when we are supposed to) so I've got to get my butt moving! I still fit into my size 8 pants (took me 3 years to get to this size!) but they are UBER tight lol. I need to slim my booty down again! I woke up early this am to do the 30 Day Shred (hoping to to do that at least 3 days a week), still teaching Zumba 3 days a week, and hoping to start running on my treadmill the nights I don't have Zumba (after DD is in bed). I've also purged all the junk food out of my house so I'm not tempted lol. I can DO this!

Well I got that stomach bug! It hit me the day after Christmas and was horrible. DH had to rush me to the ER that night bc I was so sick and dehydrated. I couldn't stop throwing up and my hands locked up and I started losing my hearing. It was horrible. Thankfully nobody else got it though.

Today is my first day back at work at a job I'm really not happy in. I'm a nanny and the family I am with is just not a great fit. The little boy is adopted and is very sweet, but I just don have a connection with him. The dad "works" from home. He doesn't have a job though so he is just around all the time. I bring my son with me, which is great, but we are pretty much stuck here all the time and I'm just not happy here. I wish I could find something else that I enjoyed.

Ok, that's my complaining for the day. Otherwise our holiday was nice. Just went by too too fast!!

DH and I have been reminiscing a lot lately about when our son was little and how we can't wait to have another one. Makes me happy to think about that as our future...

Please don't let my family get the flu!!! Things are crazy enough without that too!

DS is driving us crazy, DD is crazy teething and whiny plus not sleeping well. shoot me now!!! I really do want another child, but man, not today!!! ugh!

Amy - happy birthday to your 5 year old!

Lesli - how do you find the motivation to work out? I need to loose weight, but I'm so not motivated!

Caitlin - what about another nanny position with a family that fits better?

honestly I haven't had ANY motivation for a few months, but I teach Zumba, so I HAVE to be there

even though I don't WANT to. Right now my motivation is staying in these size 8 pants I worked so hard to get into! I don't want to go back up to my size 10, 12, or 14 until I'm pregnant

Caitlin-That is one scary sounding flu. Yuck. Glad you are feeling better. Hope the job gets easier. Or you find something else. I kind of understand. I love everyone I work with, but the owner is just awkward and I hate when I'm stuck up there and its just me and him.

Crazy story...So I've been studying for my exams and I'm a member of an architecture study forum. I saw someone on the arch forum that had the same name as someone I had seen scrolling thru preg.org and I asked her and sure enough its her. Such a small world. How funny that we are studying the same test (since there are 7 total). Our test dates are only 1 day apart.

The greatest news? I looked DH straight in the eye the other day and said "I want kids really bad." And he said we could start tomorrow or I can name the date. So I've been saving, and I'm hoping to make it thru tax season without going broke (self-employed last year). I decided that we should start in June officially, I think I will feel secure financially by then. And we will be "really" trying, not just stop preventing. Yippee!!!

This stomach bug is everywhere! Yuck. Not that there's ever a *good* time of year for it, but this is really horrible!

I starting charting this cycle to pinpoint when I ovulate, and DF is on board this time around! He asked more about it, so he's started participating. I pretty much wake up to him sticking the thermometer in my mouth, and since I usually sleep another 1/2 hour after he leaves, he texts me the reading so I can put it in FF. What I guy.. like I didn't have enough reasons to marry him!

I also just learned that one of my bridesmaids is pregnant, due about 3 weeks before our wedding, both she and and husband are in the wedding party! I'm super excited for her, but nervous too! My MOH will likely be pregnant by then too, she's no longer preventing, and will "really try" in the next couple of months.

Did everyone have a nice holiday? Get anything good, or interesting under the tree?
