Elizabeth - of course you are welcome to hang out here!!!!! I didn't mean it in a bad way, just thinking you'll get a BFP soon and then move on which makes me sad! That's difficult about the opks. I wonder if you ovulate twice in the cycle? Do twins run in your family? Oh and Chuggington is a British train show. ha ha

Jessica - very confusing about the spotting. I hope it means you are implanting?

Sara - maybe he secretly wants another kiddo? I think you should have that talk with him!!!

No twins in my family or DH's. DH keeps saying he wants twins, so he only has to deal with sleepless nights once. Silly man.

Sara-Yep, you need to have the talk. It's time girl. Jk, I seriously know how hard it is. I have a hard time talking about babies with my DH. It's getting easier for me to talk about it, but even though we are TTC I still wonder how I will even tell him I'm pregnant. I still freak out that he will freak out. Speaking of all that...

I was chatting with a pseudo friend today (she's a friend of a friend and we don't hang out that much) anyways, she and I happen to be cycle buddies and they are TTC also. But she is WAY into TTC. She said they DTD 6x in the matter of 3 days. She asked me today if I lifted my butt in the air for 20 min after DTD. I was like "ugh, I would never let DH see me in that position, because he would think I'm a crazy baby lady." I did tell her that I lifted for the 1.5 minutes that he went to the bathroom. I have to keep all this stuff secret, its silly right? You all know that I am a crazy baby lady, but I still feel like I should keep those obsessive thoughts and techniques a secret from DH. I also didn't tell DH that I started taking HPTs at 6dpo last cycle. At 11dpo, I did tell him and his response was "That's way too early, you are wasting money."

LOL! Men! FH is quite understanding of the whole situation, and knows a fair bit about charting and cycles for a dude, but this is totally something he would say too. But, back to your question, I don't think he knows the extent of the 'crazy-baby-lady' in me. He knows that I don't get up right away anymore after DTD, he leaves me alone for a while. If he leaves me alone long enough, I'll totally lift my butt up, LOL. Typically though, I don't. I try not to do anything that would set panic into him, making him worried that he's about to marry a nutcase.

I'm a POAS-aholic, so testing at 6dpo to me doesn't sound nuts, but I also use cheapies, so I don't feel guilty. Maybe this is a good excuse to stock up on cheapies? I'm not keeping FRERs in the house. I'll go pick up a box when I need them, which, from this point forward will only be after the faintest of positives on a cheapie, or a truly missed period.

Mel - I HOPE that it's implantation bleeding, but I don't think it's likely! I'm on day 4 of this spotting now. It's enough to need a liner, but not enough for anything more. While I think that it seems different this time (texture wise, sorry, TMI), that could very well by my mind playing tricks on me. I think it seems different, but how much have I really paid attention in the past?

Yeah DH knew i was getting to be the crazy baby lady last time. But I think we all do our little secret things. and yes I would do the butt in the air thing if he went to the bathroom or I would have him get me water afterwards for an excuse. hehe!
And yes I agree- I think he is secretly ready but he knew I didnt enjoy being pg so maybe he thinks I am not ready. Talk is coming I promise.

Sara - just go with it. you warned him, he knows you're off BC, maybe it's his way of saying he's ready.

Eliann and Jessica - for me a + OPK is usually a test line clearly darker than the control. This cycle it was barely darker, but still easy to tell it was darker. Close to + should just be ignored unless you fade-in (I do) and get progressively darker OPKs for a few days. And I do test with FMU. If I get a + or almost + I test again around 10-11am (the time I've usually heard recommended). HTH.

I did the butt in the air thing with the first one. Never again. If you want to avoid that but get the same effect TMI you can get a menstrual cup (like diva cup or lunette) and put that in after DTD for a bit.

I've been fading in too, I've been testing for 10+ consecutive days, so it's easy to see where the + is. Here's from this cycle:

I considered CD20 my positive, but this pic was taken the following day, I don't have a pic of the "fresh test", LOL. If I'm not pg this cycle, next cycle will be easier to read, as I'm charting again as well.

I looove Divacups. I've been using them for AF for a couple of years now, no looking back.
