Jessica - I think I'd like the time change more if I didn't have little kids! They used to all wake up at the same time, but now they're all over the place. I'd be hesitant to announce pregnancy at a wedding, but it depends on your family. No judgement, just to put it in context, I also wouldn't have TTC before getting married. I can just picture my kid coming up to me and asking "so, why was I born 6 months after your wedding if women are pregnant for 9 months?"

Sara - sorry about the BFN. My DH has said "no more" several times, but has always eventually come around. I'd sit down with him and try to talk it out.

Eliann - I'm sorry about your dad. I hope he continues to improve. I agree with Jessica, my DH knows when I'm fertile. It's part how I act and probably part how I smell. I usually tell him and his response will be "I know." (we use FAM with backup when I could be fertile)

    Hi ladies!

Sorry I didn't join the conversation sooner. My 19 month old has decided she hates napping and now that we aren't BFing, it's been a challenge getting her to sleep during the day, which is when I usually jump on here. I'm Mia and DH and I have one child, Emma. We were wanting to TTC in December but I had some medical stuff for my eye that we had to do first. I go in to see my eye specialist this THursday when we *should* get the go ahead to start TTCing. We're getting really excited.

I've been tracking my cycles since the fall as BFing made them wonky and I didn't get AF back until DD was 11.5 months old. The first couple cycles were perfect 28 day cycles then I had a 35 day one with crazy O and PMS symptoms and thought I was preggo lol. I'm a week past Oing now and it seems like the longest "fertile window" ever with how my body is acting. Still tons of cm that's now getting watery and my boobs are killing me. I also stopped BFing a month ago so maybe that has something to dow ith it.

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know all you ladies more. Sorry I don't have time to catch up on the previous posts now but I'll come back and read them asap.

I'm not sure if I really introduced myself. I'm Julie (27). DH, Daniel, is 28. I love scrapbooking and other picture projects. I also love the beach which is good since I live in FL. I'm TOC this summer or next, but lately I've been leaning toward next despite my obsession with the age gap being too far apart. Really, it would be nice if a baby could just appear in my arms. LOL. I do not enjoy being pregnant, going to all the dr appnts, and birth/recovery is miserable. Don't get me wrong... It's totally worth it, but it's hard for me to jump into it knowing how miserable I am for 9+ months. Plus, I keep wondering if having 3 will completely overwhelm me. I feel like people will see me out and about and just think, "Wow! She is in WAY over her head."

Going from 0-1 was WAY harder for me than 1-2. I had such a fairy tale vision of what being a mom was going to be like, and once I had my first it was a real wake up call to how hard it is AND not having all the time I wanted for myself and DH. Once I got preggo with #2, I had a more realistic vision and things went much more smoothly. My kids are 22 months apart and I love it. For the most part, they get along great. They spend just about every moment together (even sleep in the same room), yet when one is away they miss each other terribly. It's a wonderful bond. I think a 3 year gap would be awesome. I'm looking at a 5 and 7 yr gap with the 3rd if I TTC next year and I'm having a hard time imagining it working out as beautifully.

Hey Julie! Planning on age gaps is hard. I hear the pros and cons from everyone on one way being better than the next. If you have a 3rd will that be your last? PS- Love your picture in your signature. very sweet!

Yes, definitely our last. I have c-sections so I think a 4th would be too hard on my body, but I think I'll feel done after 3 anyway. That just feels like the max for us.

Thanks! It's from last Easter. I keep thinking I need to put a more recent pic... I'm just lazy.

good luck with the spacing, Julie. And 3 can be a challenge. But, mine are all close (20m and 20.5m). I like the close spacing, too, but think another so close might drive me up the wall. DS1 is a Dec birthday so he has another year of preschool before kindergarten. So, I'd have the all home most of the time.

I totally understand the hesitation towards TTC before the wedding, but the back-story is that FH had testicular cancer this past year, and we'd really like to avoid seeing fertility specialists if we don't need to. They only had to remove one testicle, but, it'll take 4 more years of clean scans for him to be considered "cancer-free". It's already been arranged that if it comes back, he's off to the fertility clinic to make a 'deposit', but there are just so many costs that come with going the medical route. Since there's nothing wrong with me, it wouldn't be covered under any health plan.

With that said.. not many people actually know that he had cancer, so only a few people would really get why we started trying early. I think we're just going to JLIH, and go with the flow.

Not sure were you all are located, but it's unseasonably warm here right now. We're getting temps that are breaking records by 10 degrees (*C) or more. I whine and moan about winter, and do the same in the summer... I wish we had actually gotten a few good spring months!

hi girls! I've been MIA for a bit, just busy! We are also really unseasonably warm where I am (Rhode Island). I'm enjoying it though because it's in the 60/70s which I like. Took the kids to a great playground Tuesday and hoping to go on Friday again.

Do you all celebrate Easter at all? I'm not religious, but do enjoy getting together with family and having a good meal. We also do the Easter Bunny stuff because it's fun!

Julie - I hear what you're saying about three being your max. In a dream world where finances weren't a question and DH and I could both be home just doing what we love and raising our children, I would love two of each but three would be our max in reality too.

Jessica - What a challenge for you and DF to face! I hope you guys get preggo soon. My mom had a transplant for liver cancer last year and thankfully all went well but cancer is so amazingly life changing. I hope all of DFs treatment goes smoothly and productively as possible!

Mel - We're having good weather too (in NH). Our families are Christian so they'll celebrate that way. I am not but I am religious so I do more of a spring celebration. For DD, we'll do a basket with some spring themed things. When she's older I really want to give her seeds to plant each year or something cute like that.
