Have you ever "played hooky" (called in sick when you weren't to get a day off)?
Not so much since entering the "real world" (ie work) but in high school and college I did it ALL THE TIME!
Yes I have. I have only done it a few times since I have worked there (about 7 years). I always feel guilty after I have done it......just for a little while.:p
Yes. Far too often for my own good.
yes, but it always comes back to bite me in the @$$. I'll really get sick the day of a deadline that I HAVE to be at work for! LOL!
Oh sure! I call those days "mental health days" hahaha. I try not to do it often, but every once in awhile, its good to do!
it's not worth the extra work for me - as a teacher, I need to have plans etc. drawn up for the day and all the work available for a sub... so.... unless I plan my 'hooky' day ahead, it's not happening!
I did working as a casual all the time. If I just wasn't feeling it, I would call in. As Elizabeth put it, 'mental health days'. Now that I'm working full time, I highly doubt I will because I don't want to do that to my clients.
I don't do it often, but I have. I like to think of it as preventative medicine. I figure I'm less likely to get sick if I'm well rested! I don't know that that is what really happens, but that's what I'll tell myself.
