How old were you when you learned Santa isn't real? How did you find out?

I was 11 or 12 and my brother and neighbours had found where the gifts were hidden and picked the lock and showed me them all. Sur enough they were all under the tree that year. I had some inkling before that though but didn't want to believe it.

Santa's not real?!?!?!?!

I think I was around 8. I was snooping for presents and found the ones from Santa.

I really don't remember when I first figured it out.

My neighborhood friend told me in the 2nd grade. I was SOOOOO upset. I asked my dad and he said my friend was wrong and that santa was real. So I told my friend that she had the wrong information. Then she told her mom and her mom told me that santa was not real. Needless to say, our parents got into an argument. But then it sort of turned into denial and I kept believing, because it was more fun that way. Plus my little brother still believed and I didn't want him to know the awful truth that I had learned. Haha.

I don't remember believing Santa was REAL...seriously. I think I always known presents were from my parents.
