In light of the Cocktail I will be having when AF arrives.....
What is your favorite Cocktail, Mocktail, or beverage?
I typically only drink wine or beer as far as alcohol goes. When we go to a restaurant I love getting mojitos! Once a year I will drink a Martini (too expensive). I hate champagne. Blek.
My favorite non-alcoholic beverage is Coke. I gave up soda for 2 years and somehow, I'm back to drinking it again. I notice I drink it when I get stressed. I try to keep soda limited to 2x a week. I also drink hot tea every morning. But no coffee. Makes me crazy.
Well I lie...I do drink coffee, but I prefer fancy coffees and I have to drink them before 10am or else I'm wired for the rest of the day. So about 2x a month I will stop by Starbucks or the local version of Starbucks. Usually on days I have deadlines.
hugs Elizabeth! I wish AF wasn't showing for you.
I enjoy wine, margaritas, amaretto sours and strawberry dacquaris (sp?) the most. I tend to only order wine at a restaurant though.
I drink water mostly, but will have a cup of tea in the early morning. I also like root beer, orange soda and ginger ale when I'm having soda. I cannot stand coffee! way too bitter for me!!!
I am not a big drinker but when I do I like: white wine, white russians, margaritas, daquris.
I love lemonade and coke. And I gave up soda as well, but some how got back to it, so I am back at reducing the intake. If we dont have it in house I am good about it. But seems like mexican food either needs a margarita or coke. Since I eat Mexican food alot, its hard to avoid. I think I might have 1 a week right now.
I haven't had a cocktail in so long I don't know what I like, I might have one for my birthday next month, or maybe not because it might not be allowed . I do like wine and bubbly, however most are too strong for me now so I just stick to moscato when I do have a wine. I do drink coffee, it gets me through my day, not sure what will happen when i get pregnant because I don't drink coffee especially in the first tri.
I don't drink alcohol. I don't like how it tastes and I don't like how it makes me feel. I don't do coffee or soda (or any caffeine), either. Again, not found of the flavor or how they make me feel.
In terms of other drinks, I basically do water, milk, and decaf tea.
I'm glad I feel that way because I've spent the past 5+ years being pregnant, BFing, or both... nothing to miss! (except roller coasters, but I can go on those while BFing. ;))
Wow Virginia! That is awesome. I need to be better and drink more water now that I'm TTC.
DH and I have an unspoken healthy eating agreement. Now and then one of us proposes making some change to make our diet healthier and we work it in. so, we now cook with only olive oil and often use olive oil instead of butter on bread, never add salt to our food and buy low sodium when possible (and make our own chicken broth, chicken nuggets, etc), cut out almost all juice (with an in-season exception for apple cider), cut out red meat, try to make more vegetarian meals, only get whole grain sandwich breads, almost never eat out, etc. It's really not hard at all if you make one little change at a time. And we're not strict. It's been more of a change for our standard diet, which allows us the occasional splurge without guilt. And I have an unconquerable sweet tooth and a big stash of chocolate.
