TOC Grads!!!

Amy had a great idea for this sticky!

Welcome TOC grads!! :wavehello: Congratulations on moving on to TTC! We love all our ladies and we want to know how you guys are doing now that you've moved on. This is a place where you can update us all on your journey through TTC and pregnancy. Please use this thread to post all updates involving TTC or pregnancy. I debated whether to make it a "spaces" thread and allow people to create separate threads to comment or just a regular thread where everyone could post and comment as they like. I decided we would try out a regular thread first and see if it gets too long and out of control. If it does we can switch to a spaces format but for now we'll just go with the flow and see what happens. Biggrin

I guess I should post something here at least since i'm the first. Smile Not much of an update for me, still just waiting to see if AF shows up. I did take another test today but it wasn't FMU just pee I held for about an hour and a half, that's as long as I could go, and got a faint line still. The test was from a different box too. So I think I could probably safely bet that I am indeed preggers. Smile Nausea comes and goes but just as with my last pregnancies it's worse in the afternoons and evenings. My boobs aren't as tender this time as they were last 2 times either but I have a tingly sensation in them several times a day but it never stays. Bloating isn't the worst but it's there and my lower abdomen is achy from growing pains. Also, this sounds odd, but my old surgery scar on my left side from getting a hernia repaired is puffy, which is also a sign for me. lol. Oh and moody, wow are my mood swings horrible.

I haven't seen an update on your 2WW any where. I'm curious to know how things are going. You must be about due to test. Wink

Well last night the pain in my back got so bad I could hardly move so we went into the ER. I had a fever of 102 when I got in and my heart rate was in the 130's. I was admitted and am now in the hospital. I'm not sure how long I'll be here for could be going home tonight or i could spend another night, right now it's just a waiting game. So far I haven't had any bleeding, so as far as we can tell baby is still doing okay. I hit 5 weeks yesterday. They tried finding the heart beat with the doppler but couldn't, but it's still early to find it with that. There was no doubt that it was a kidney infection with the labs that they drew. With the kidney infection that does leave me at higher risk to miscarry so I'm sure I'll have to take it easy for a bit.

So that is my fun for the week.

I tested early last week. BFN. I posted that on Feb somewhere, but I think it got lost in the shuffle. On to March for me. AF showed up right on time. Smile

Had a check up with my doctor after my fun week and everything is looking good. My back doesn't hurt nearly as bad any more and I'm feeling more back to my pregnant self. Smile

Both my boys started out in the 160's but dropped into the 140's before 20 weeks. I'm hoping it stays up in the 160's. Wink

Set up the anatomy/gender ultra sound for September 6th. Little over 5 weeks away! Hope the next month flies by! BTW I've been checking baby's heart beat with the doppler a friend let me borrow and the heart rate has stayed in the upper 150's and in the 160's. Smile Hoping that's a good sign and we will be blessed with some pink!

I think the last time I mentioned anything about living in Utah was on the natural birthing board. I live in Salem. Smile Little south of Spanish Fork and a little north and east of Payson. Smile

Okay. Yeah I explained how to find it because there are still a lot of people that grew up in Utah that have no idea where Salem is at. lol. I grew up in Nephi, the last real place to stop before Fillmore. ha ha ha. Though I will admit we have a love, hate relationship with Utah.

Yes they will. When I tell people I'm having another boy they look at me all shocked. You know how some women look like boy moms and some look like girl moms, well.... I DON'T look like the type of person to have so many boys. lol. I look and seem more like a little girl mom, but nope, here I am all girly but with a tom boy streak that only those close to me knows exists, and I'm having my third boy. It will be an interesting journey for sure.

Thank you! We are now 35 weeks pregnant and had another ultra sound last Thursday to check the position of the placenta to make sure it had moved and also check baby's development again. Everything is looking great and the placenta has moved. Baby is measuring about a week behind, I know my dates are accurate though and I just have small baby's. Heck my 41 weeker was only 6Ibs 7oz. I have basically everything ready for my home birth, I have the birth kit, the birth pool kit and pool, I have most of the simple stuff from around the house ready, the nursery is back together, and so now to wait for 37 weeks when I am home birth cleared. About the only things I need to get ready are the food items for the birth and after and few other supplies I need for the birth, and to get the car seat put in the truck. Next week is our home visit with the midwife and then we are basically set to have this little boy. Oh and at the u/s last week we checked to make sure we were having a boy and it is for sure a little boy. Smile

Anyway, there's my quick update. Sorry it's been a while. Life got really crazy for us around here.

I still need to write up my birth story but here is an update on us. Smile We are doing well! I feel great and I did get my home birth like I wanted. After explaining how my contractions were to my midwife she decided it would be best to see what they could do to get my labor going. So they did a few things one of which was actually breaking my water as I was already dilated to a 5. That was around 10:30 pm that they broke my water. Labor almost immediately picked right up and took off. By 12am I was pushing. Labor was just over 2 hours from start to finish and I had a lot of hip pressure. Lukus came out posterior. I ended up with 1 surface second degree tear and a few others that only required 1 stitch. My second degree tear was down my old episiotomy scar. I figured I tore when my midwife told me he came out posterior. Turns out it was a good thing I had the midwives encourage labor, the placenta was calcifying.

We are struggling a little with the nursing. I am having to use a shield since he can't seem to get a latch on me directly but it is slowly improving. I am using some doner milk to supplement with until mine comes in. We don't want him too loose to much weight and he is already down to 4#10oz. So we really REALLY don't want him to loose anymore. He is stubborn though and he only wants to eat when HE is ready.

As for me, I am on 3 weeks of bedrest, laying as flat as I can except for potty and nursing and eating. My Uterus is trying to prolapse on me. Other than that I feel great and just wish I could get up and move around more. I would much rather heal from a tear than an episiotomy as well. It is far less painful and I have actually had far less swelling as well.

So prayers for me that my uterus goes back and prayers for Lukus that he will starting nursing well and gaining weight.

Here is my cute little boy.

Aww he is so precious! Welcome to the world Lukus! I can't believe your labor was only 2 hours. That sounds awesome! Sorry that you tore though. Ouchie. I'm sure Lukus will be nursing like a pro in no time. I think 3rd borns are notoriously stubborn ;).
Take care of yourself, I hope your uterus stays put. Congratulations!!!!!!

Congrats Amy!

Thanks to all the nice comments about Lukus! Here we are a month later and everything is going well! We are dealing with reflux and gas but are going to a chiro to help with those. Smile He is already sleeping awesome and I rarely don't get a 5-6 hour+ stretch at night. The chiro has done wonders for his sleeping!
