Default Weird period. Should I waste the money on a test?

So my period was really weird this month. I had several days of spotting then halfway through Saturday I got bad cramps and heavy flow (tampon change every few hours). Then Sunday morning it was a lot lighter (used one tampon in the morning and then didn't need one the rest of the day) spotted slightly on Monday and today basically nothing. So only 24 hours of actual flow. I really don't feel pregnant but that is a super short period for me. Should I waste the money on a test?

Do you have a Dollar Tree nearby? If so, I say yes. Then you're only out a buck if it's a bfn.

Just as I posted this it picked back up to a light flow.

At the beginning of last year I was always thinking I was pregnant because of weird periods. Since I was 13, I always had 7 day periods. The 1st and 2nd days would be heavy. The 3rd, 4th, 5th would be medium and the 6th and 7th very light. And now they are only 3 days long...my first day is light, 2nd day is heavy and third day back to light and then its gone. But it has been this way for a whole year now. I guess my body is just changing. Maybe its happening to you too? I like having shorter periods, but it gives me an irrational fear that I may be headed for menopause early or something.

Sorry you're not preggers though, that's always kind of bummer right? Even though I know I shouldn't be trying for a baby right now, for some reason I always get bummed out when AF shows.

I've been wndering the same thing this week. I'm on CD 37 and no AF yet, prior to DD's birth I had a regular 30 day cycle. I'm sure it's just the BF hormones messing my cycles up, but it's still strange!

I've always had a 3-4 day period with lots of days of spotting around it. I think it might have been shorter/lighter this month because I was exercising a lot. I read that that can affect it.
