Would you wait?

So thinking of putting of TTC for a bit longer than planned. Basically we were thinking of October, which gives me a July baby, but now thinking of waiting until December for a September baby so that we can enjoy the summer, go camping etc. without a newborn.

And the past two times I've gotten pregnant on the first month of TTC, so "planning" might actually work! LOL

what would you do?

Can you realistically enjoy camping and summer fun while pregnant? I doubt I could. Not that I'm not liking the idea of you waiting a few more months so we can TTC together Wink

I would love to wait until the end of summer too so we can go boating all summer and so we can go on a cruise theis winter before hitting the 12 week mark, but I have been TTC for a few months now and way to eager to wait. I say if you have it in you and can hold off its a good plan! I had DS2 in september and it was absolutely a perfect time! Good luck with your decision! Let us know what you decide!

hmmmm, the other option is to convince DH to TTC next cycle! Blum 3 Then we would have a late may/early june baby. What are your thoughts on enjoying the summer with a newborn instead of hugely pregnant? Am I just out of luck whichever way I go?

Lurking! Go for next cycle!!! Haha. I think enjoying the baby over summer instead of being hugely pregnant would be the way to go. If I remember correctly you were originally thinking about TTC in August anyway.

Honestly, I'd prefer camping with a newborn to camping while hugely pregnant. But what kind of camping are we talking about? When I say camping, I'm thinking tent camping with an air mattress. Getting comfy on one of those at 8-9 months pregnant would be no easy task. I had a hard enough time camping at 4 months pregnant. Camping with a NB would be no big deal for me so long as it wasn't too cold. Just BW and it'll be cake. DD LOVED being outside when she was a NB (still does ;)).

I had a newborn at that start of summer ish ( we have two seasons, wet and dry basically summer and winter) It was good, he lived in a singlet and nappy a lot unless we went out, no huge worries about cold and flus and it really helped me being able to get outside and walk and stuff because of my emotional state.

Erin - good point on the camping on the air mattress. Yes, that is how we camp and being pregnant would not be comfy then!

Elizabeth - Hi!!!! we've missed you over here! I can't believe you are 6 weeks along! Smile

Wendy - another good point. DS was a late June baby and he lived in just onesies for a couple months.

now to convince DH....I only have like 10 days to work on him too since CD1 is today! I don't think it's going to happen, but think I'm going to try! LOL
