I just learned how to read a pattern and do more stitches then the basic single crochet, so needless to say, I'm a beginner! I've only made scarves and one blanket, until now.
Stitch 'N ***** Crochet The Happy Hooker - Seija Set
So I'm still working on the blanket, but I got bored for a minute so I decided to try out the hat. I've made two, because I messed up the color pattern, not that it really mattered but I also screwed up the slip stitch at color changes and added a stitch instead. I corrected everything on the 2nd hat. What do you think?
Here's the hat with mistakes:
Here's the hat with no mistakes:
And for fun...one on the dog:
They look great. I can't see the mistakes in the first hat. We're really much harder on ourselves about our mistakes (and not just in crocheting...)
I guess I should have taken a picture of the mistake, oh well. Yeah you can't tell by looking at the photos, but if you look at the back of the hat in person you can definitely see it. I totally agree that we are harder on ourselves!
I'll post pics of the blanket and hat together when I finished it.
Ooh those are awesome! You did a great job! Those patterns are in the Happy Hooker book eh? I love em! I have the SNB knitting books and I've heard good things about the crochet one. I may need to check it out....mmmm feeding my book addiciton.

Awesome job, I love the colors you used. The models are a bit weird though LOL
