    Default ? abaout Ravelry

(hope I can ask this here ??)

Does anybody know about the My Notebook section... as per the FAQ/mini-guide area it says to add a new project select either knitting or crochet... but I can't find that and if I just select "add" it defaults to knitting. I want crochet! *pouts* LOL I haven't had a chance to ask on there yet.

Are you selecting "Add new project" at the "Projects" window? When I do that, mine comes up "new Knitting project" but there's selection box (the second box) where you can select crochet or knitting. Crochet is first, so I leave it as it and continue on. When the project is added, it adds as a crochet, not a knitting project. The "New Knitting Project" label is renamed with whatever I called in in the "add new project" window.

    Does that help?

Yes and no LOL My sister and I figured it out sorta... but even though it will now let me select crochet... whenever I hit "add new project" it still says "new knitting project" even if the selection box down lower says crochet. Oh well... as long as it will let me do crochet (which it does) I can live with it calling it a "new knitting project"

    Thanks!

I wonder if you change your selection in the "patterns" tab to crochet instead of knitting or knitting & crochet if it would carry over into your "my notebook" tab.

It does make a difference! I switched to crochet on the "patterns" tab and it automatically fills in crochet in the "add new project" menu. It has a drop-down menu so I can change it to knitting if I want, though.

Yep... but for me, even though the dropdown now defaults to crochet, it still says NEW KNITTING PROJECT (or whatever it calls it) in bold at the top... it says your user name > notebook > projects > new Knitting project even though down a bit it says "crochet" under "WHICH CRAFT?" LOL So that's my new beef
