    Default Another Project

I've started a burgundy/blue hoodie for baby Leo in a 9-12month size. I'm using yarn I bought when I visited Sarahsunshine last September when he was born. It should go pretty quickly. I just hope there'll be enough of the wool. I may sneak some navy cuffs on the sleeves later on if I'm worried about having enough.

I have other jobs to do too, but it is snowy and the perfect time of year to knit by the fire.

    OK, here's the finished project:

And here's the start of Leo's sweater.

PS: This sweater is actually burgundy colored but it looks pink in this photo. I've finished the front and back, next need to knit the sleeves. Sewing it together takes a bit of time. There seems to be plenty of yarn for the project.

That's going VERY quickly! I haven't touched Leo's blanket since you left!

All the pieces are complete as of NOW. That leaves FIVE steps to sewing it together...which will take time.

PS: DONE and being blocked! (as of this Monday morning)

When it is dry. It is in the blocking process, pinned to the ironing board with a wet towel on top of it!

That looks great! I really like the color(better than the pink )

A couple questions- what is blocking?

When you sew pieces together, do you use 1 strand of wool, or do you double it? Does it depend on what you are making?
