I am exploring p.org this week and checking out some other boards. And woohoo there's a crafting board! My craft of choice right now is jewelry...I have in the past done x-stitch, crochet, papercrafts, etc. I work in silver and semi precious gems. You can see some recent-ish stuff here...
I am taking a silversmith class this spring to refine my skills a bit, and am really looking forward to doing some more soldered work.
I've done wire and bead work for scrapbooking, and have bought a lot of the jewelery tools. I haven't actually made any jewlery yet, although a couple of my friends are really big into it, and tell me it's easy and that I'd like doing it. How neat for you to be taking the silversmithing classes. That sounds like a lot of fun.
I do more of the needlecrafts, scrapbooking, and weaving at the moment, but I've done some pottery, x-stitch, needlepoint, embroidery, and I also started looking into stained glass classes in the past.

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Phillipians 4:16
When i was in high school and college I did some very 'home grown' hobbyish beading/jewelry but nothing compared to the stuff you've made! Although the kids in my high school thought I was pretty good
Please come and hang out here! Its nice to have a variety of crafts to hear/talk about. And we all love to look at finished products!
Thanks for the welcome! I love the user name KimPossible!

There is something about words. In expert hands, manipulated deftly, they take you prisoner. Wind themselves around your limbs like spider silk, and when you are so enthralled you cannot move, they pierce your skin, enter your blood, numb your thoughts. Inside you they work their magic. ~ The Thirteenth Tale
I'm not as into jewelry as the yarn crafts but I have made a few bracelets for the girls to match their holiday dresses. I'm far from great at it.
