Back in the saddle again

It has been a long haul since I last picked up my needles...but yesterday I whipped up a baby pompom beret for the new grandchild and am now trying some booties as well. I hope this brings back some inspiration! At least I am using up yarn that has been lying around.

Glad to see you are back. I actually started knitting with the loss of my son. I found it very theraputic. Something to busy my mind, so I could stop thinking for a bit.

Well I sent Sarahsunshine the little beret and then began some booties, size 0. But the first one looked like it was meant for some giant alien and so I stopped at only one and switched to a different pattern. I now finished those except for some ribbon. Today I began another hat, just because...

It is snowing out and I wanted to go to the knitting store for different yarn but they are closed. Darn!

Made it to the knit shop this morning and found things for a new project.

DD said she'd shoot me if I knit in pink wool.

I don't believe that "shooting" was the words I used...

I believe it was "wasting your time and energy" - particularly when you said you'd make it for me! :bleh:
