Celticangel's progress thread. (Kirstie)

I have to jump on the bandwagon.....

I posted a few pics when I introduced myself but since then I have completed a cross-stitch birth announcement and started a sweater for myself.

I'll post pics tonight.

The sweater I'm working on is a Patons pattern made from Shetland chunky tweed. This is the pic on the pattern book. I'm making this one in the same colour.

I have the back and one front panel finished.

Very pretty! What will you use for buttons? Any idea yet?

I'm hoping to find similar buttons to the ones in the book. If not I like the big wooden ones.

I got the right front started last night but won't have time to touch it again until Thursday.

Pics of my two latest projects.

The birth announcement, DH made the frame. The baby's room is blue with trucks, planes and boats.

Back and left front of my sweater...

I'm sticking to one project at a time for now.....we'll see how long that lasts. I found a great pattern for a sleeveless top (free so I can post if anyone wants it) it's almost a halter top.

WOOHOO!

Nice birth announcement - is that cross stitch? WOW!

And the sweater seems to be coming along nicely too!

I can't wait to see the finished product.

Ive managed to finish the other front piece and am almost done one sleeve.

I had it almost done on the weekend but had to pull it back to the ribbing because I had been increasing stitches on the wrong rows....... :-?

That's my progress so far.

I hate when that happens. Seems there's one problem with almost every pattern. But better to rip it out and have things perfect in the end! It's going to be beautiful! Is this project for you or someone else? I bet you'll want to keep it.

It's for me....I've made so many things over the last year for everyone else I decided it was time for me.

I just need to learn to sew it up properly. DH's worked out ok but I'm sure it wasn't done right..LOL

Well I got tired of working on the sweater since I won't be able to wear it until next winter anyway...

I whipped up a pair of little booties for my new nephew...straight knit using Bernat Organic Cotton. Turned out nice but a little too smal,. I have to do another pair then I will take a pic.

Also started a summer knit top using the same wool for myself...it's actually turnign out ok...will take a pic soon as it looks like something Smile

Can't wait to see pics! Could you donate the itty bitty ones to a hospital for a preemie?

The itty bitty ones have been passed on the Raymond teh Cabbage Patch doll that my niece just loves. Smile

I've been thinking of doing something like that though.....

Once the weather improves, gardening takes over for me and I really must finish both projects quickly now!
