Etsy

I have recently found this amazing website and I am in love with some of the stuff I have purchased. I wanted to see if any pregnancy.org members sell items there. I would prefer to support girls from the site if I can. I am looking at knit hats for the winter for my DS right now.

Hey! Isn't Etsy awesome? I am not sure if any preg.org ladies sell at etsy. I want to say gorlitsa has a store? But I'm not sure what she sells...just something that sticks in my head for some reason.

I hope to sell there someday...but I haven't had the time to knit up extra stuff to sell. Wish I had something to sell ya! Lol

Kim I am just amazed by the stuff I have seen!

What I love about Etsy is the sky is the limit. You can pretty much have someone make whatever you want. And it's generally affordable with low shipping Smile

gorlitsa has a shop on hyenacart. Wooly Wonder, I think. She sells longies/shorties, but she hasn't done much since her baby was born.

edited to add: I've been making custom longies for some of the girls on the Cloth Diapering board, but I'd be happy to make you some custom hats if you wanted. I can send you the names of some people I have done things for. You'd just let me know the sizes, and styles you were interested in. Then you could buy the yarn, or I could. I can also send some pictures of things I have done in the past.

I LOVE Etsy! I could spend hours on there (ok, I do spend hours on there). I shop there all the time and love some of the things I've gotten there!

That particular hat is crocheted, not knit. Do you want one crocheted or knit?

With knitting, the brim part wouldn't stay as well, unless it were felted (which means, knit a really big hat and then shrink it in hot water. A felted hat would be quite warm. But I could easily make a knit hat non-felted without the brim.

If you don't want just a plain hat (something like this, but striped http://www.aokcorral.com/projects/how2sept2004.htm)

I could do one like this: http://hyenacart.com/prod_details.php?id=45119&vid=57 (I have that pattern already)

Also, if you could post a picture of your husband's colors, it would help to match it too.

I love hyenacart. Janel makes the best longies.

I like the second one Smile And I am sorry I did not know the difference between knit and crochet..hello I am an idiot!

Here is examples of the colors I am looking for-

http://www.yarncountry.com/Cascade-Dolce-Silver--971-p2612.aspx

Yeah...and I live in CA so the hat with extra felt would not be the best plan. It does not get that cold here even in the winter Smile

We just have to find a Hyenacart Congo to join!

Okay, pg.org totally needs a "Your ears are burning" feature! Yes, I have a etsy store (gorlitsa.etsy.com) and I used to have a hyena store, but i realized that I got sick of knitting the same longies over and over again, and no one was buying the ones that were fun to knit. Now I'm trying to focus more on making and selling patterns, since I get to knit a little, use some math and computer skills, and once it's all done, it's DONE!

This is what i want to do too!

I just seem to have no time to invent between the 4 kids and my own personal knitting projects. I keep saying "someday"!

I just found an etsy store that sells some really cute crochet baby shoes, I love them!

I've only bought hand-dyed yarn on etsy. I've seen a lot of great stuff on there, though. You're right - the sky's the limit on what you can find there.
