How to fix a vertical curl?

I'm learning to knit and as my first project i am making a scarf for my toddler. My pattern is:

cast on: 15 stitches
row 1-3: knit one, purl, knit one, purl one pattern all along
row 4: knit one, purl one, knit one, knit 9, knit one, purl one, knit one
row 5: knit one, purl one, knit one, Purl 9, knit one, purl one, knit one
row 6: knit one, purl one, knit one, knit 9, knit one, purl one, knit one
row 7: knit one, purl one, knit one, Purl 9, knit one, purl one, knit one
i'll continue the pattern of row 4-7 until I think it is long enough and in the end or
last three rows: knit one, purl, knit one, purl one pattern all along

I like the look of it, but my problem is that it has a vertical curl. I tried doing the stitches a little looser with no success at removing the curl.

Is there a way to fix the curl when i finish the scarf?

It may not have a curl if you block it after knitting. HTH!

I did wet blocking (left for 3 days) to the wool scarf, but it still curls :(

Perhaps the problem has to do with the yarn you are using as well as the pattern. I'm afraid it is mainly the pattern and won't be corrected. If you did the entire thing in K1P1 without the 9 stitches in the center then you'd not get the curl.

My first scarf was knit in a pattern of little squares using 4 stitches and 4 rows for each square.

Make sure that you use the right size needle for the yarn you are using. (It will say on the label of the ball of yarn)
