If you have any, that is lol!
I made a knit bag, I'm quite happy with it, a crocheted hat for my niece, and I have just started a baby blanket that is done with cables, I'm excited to learn how to do them. Not sure who's getting the blanket when it's done, but oh well.
Today it's raining here for the first time in about 3 weeks, so I figure it's a good day to stay in and do some knitting![]()
I have a lovely sweater started for my grandson Leo. I made a mistake in counting somewhere and have not had time or energy to pick it up and fix things. I'm hoping I will in September, but things are already looking more busy than ever!![]()

*lurker*
I just joined preg.org after lurking for a year or so. I guess the best thing to do is just jump right in? I hope I don't step on anyone's toes. This is a little out of my comfort-zone. But what is in my comfort-zone is knitting. So do answer the OP, I've made several baby blankets for new blessings that have been born this summer. I also made a prayer shawl for a friend of mine who is battling breast cancer (in fact, she's the one that got me hooked on to this site). I'm no pro by any means but it gives me something to do with my hands. Plus I love the sense of accomplishment.

Welcome Jenni! Glad you just jumped in!
You're going to have to learn how to post photos so we can see those blankets and shawl. This site is quite slow at the moment, but perhaps once the cooler weather begins, people will pick up their needles!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Unfortunately, everything has already been given to the respective recipients. I'm not very confident in my craft enough to take pictures but maybe I'll get brave since I have such wonderful encouragement. I am going to start making myself a prayer shawl (I'm the only one in my circle of friends who knits). We are starting our second round of fertility treatments - waiting on test results now- so I figure now is as good a time as any. Thanks again for the welcome! I'm looking forward to seeing all of the beautiful things y'all have created.

Lol!! Don't we all??
I finally got the right sized needles and started a pair of fingerless gloves for Sierra. They are done in 2 different colors for the palm/wrist, and each finger is a different color. So cute!!
So, of course in my haste to get started, after I carefully knit my gauge swatch, I jumped right in and cast on for the 10 year old size, because after all, she's 11 1/2. After knitting the wrist, palm, thumb, and pointy finger, I realized that it looks pretty big, so I stick my hand in it, and it fits me!
Yikes!! I guess I am getting a pair too. So then I whipped out my tape and measured her hand, which I should've done in the first place(bad knitter!), and turns out I should've been making the 4 year old size. ????? I guess my kid has freakishly small hands?? Or they size for freakishly big-handed children? LOL!!
Oh well. We'll have matching mother-daughter fingerless gloves when I'm done.
Neat idea to have Mom/Daughter gloves! Soon she may be at an age where she's not keen on that though.... I hope not!
