Default I FINALLY knit some stitches today!

So i pulled out an old project and brought it with me to my kids' swimming lessons today and knit a few rows....first knitting since....i don't know, some time last year?

This really should be a "No new projects" year for me and i should only catch up and finish everything old. Seriously, its probably enough for two full knittings seasons and this one is almost over! How embarrassing.

I know, same old song from me...it never changes does it? But I just wanted to say "yay! Its finally begun!"

This is a little pullover sweater with embroidered flowers on the bottom. Its a size 3 - 6 months in cotton and it was going to be for Cecilia...when i find a baby to give it to, it will be theirs!

Let's have a race Kim, but I think we need to start in January. OK? I did a few more rows on the blanket today... I have 5-6 more bags with projects in them. Like Camelnoodle's Mom, mine have needles attached to the projects so I go out and buy more. Pretty dumb.

Um... I have a sweater that I started for Gardenbug 2 years (3years?) ago now... I should finish that... I need the needles for something else!

I lied a little bit. I am going to have to work on one new project before i take up all the old ones. I have to crank out some coffee cozies this week. We are dong a family swap with my kids and my siblings kids. All of my siblings kids are teenagers or older so I'm going to buy them each a gift card to Starbucks and give them a little coffee cozy to go with it.

So after the holidays, def. your race is on!

I'll be back catching up with life on the third of January.
Let's remind each other of the race...as well as to do laundry etc...yuck.

Yea Kim! My biggest issue is keep buying more yarn, even though I have TONS. It wouldn't be so bad, because I'm knitting a lot, but I'm buying it faster than I can knit it. I have 6 1/2 big rubbermaid bins stuffed. Yikes!

I'm back and still doing laundry... Perhaps tomorrow I can pick up the baby blanket and get to the half way mark on it?

DD Sarah has made progress on Leo's blue crocheted blanket but it is unfinished still I believe.

This is a photo of DGD Ivy in the hat I made her in November. It is really a Fall or Spring hat, not super warm for Alberta's winter weather.

The hat is great! You could always winterize a pattern like that by lining it with some fleece! Ivy is so adorable, she always looks so happy!

I did a little more work on the pullover sweater. I"m almost done with the front. After that I'll just have the sleeves to knit (and then the seeming and the embroidery all after that!).

Over Christmas break i knit four coffee cozies to give as gifts, one was for my husband!

So now I have to figure out how to balance all the new projects I want to take on and the old ones i absolutely must finish...i'm just so tired of having them stashed away undone.

Here's to keeping each other motivated!

Made a bit more progress on the blanket today, but there's plenty more to do! Maybe I should take a picture of the pattern. It's one of those very small blankets but I'd like to add to the length if there's enough extra yarn for it.
