Sorry I havn't been around much. I've been knitting up a storm, but it all goes on my store, and it all pretty much looks the same except for color.
Anyway, i finally decided to make something for MY baby, so I'm trying to make the Trellis sweater from knitty. I've ripped it out twice now (once because my gauge was WAY off, once because I messed up the seed stitch) and now I'm getting ready to rip it out again. But for good cause -- I finally just now learned how to read charts! Apparently you don't read them right-to-left each and every row! So my cables looked for wonky because i was twisting them all sorts of weird ways.
So, if this works, I'll have a real project to give updates on soon!
Yea! I just did my first project on charts (in progress). Luckily my project is a hat in the round, so you do read the chart from left to right each and every row, so I didn't have to find out the hard way like you did!
I took some pictures a few days ago and just uploaded them. This is the back and half of one front piece. I now have both fronts done and am working on a sleeve. But you can see how working those charts backwards was messing me up. My cables all twisted the wrong way!
Wow, it still looks awesome. I can't wait to see what it'll look like all done!
it's been a while since I've done anything with charts- I'll have to really watch what I'm doing when I get ready to use one on the next project that has one.
