    Default Introducing myself!

I am 24 years old and had my first baby in May... and am stil knitting his first blanket! Getting close to being ton (about another month or so) I can't wait to share pictures when its done! I love the yarn on it! so soft!
Anyways... my next goal is to make booties for the coming winter.... I taught myself how to knit a couple years ago so I have no idea how to make anything other than a scarf or blanket. Should I try my first attempts at booties? or are they hard? Don't have a clue as to make something that more rounded?
Looking forward to getting to know all of you!!!

yes! Welcome to this board! Booties are totally do-able. There are some that are knit flat, and some that are knit in the round. Are you on Ravelry? If not, join. There are tons of free patterns there.

Here's one I found on Ravelry. I've done it before, but you'd probably have to size up. http://fuzzygalore.biz/patterns/cbbooties.shtml

Welcome! I'm just starting to learn to knit in the last few months, so I'm not a lot of help. I say go for the booties! Even if they don't turn out well you still learn a ton while doing them. I'm working on my first pair of mittens right now and the first mitten looks pretty awful, but I'm in the middle of the second mitten and it looks so much nicer now that I have a bit more knowledge from doing the first one.

Good luck and jump right in!
