Ohh you did! I had wondered if anyone here read her blog! After I posted the pic on Ravelry she saw it and asked if she could use it. I told her she could and I was delighted to see her little face on the blog today when I checked it. I was rather excited I love Susan's work!
I do too! I read her blogs everyday!
So who is Susan? And where?
Susan is the author of all of the itty bitty books. Itty Bitty hats, Itty Bitty Nursery, and Itty Bitty toys. Here is her blog! http://www.susanbanderson.blogspot.com/
She also does the Spud & Chloe blog here: http://www.spudandchloe.com/blog/
She is the one that designed the cupcake pattern! She does some very bright and whimsical stuff. Her blogs are enjoyable to read.
Thank you! I need to make those chickens!!! Wonder how to get the pattern....The pea pod hat is super too. And loads of other things.
Which Chickens? There is a chicken pattern she designed that is part of the itty bitty nursery book.
And there is a larger group of the chickens that she did and is sold as a blue sky aplaca pattern. I love both patterns but wish I had the big chicken pattern!
You can get it online at a place like Webs
Or if you would rather see if a place local to you carries the pattern, check out the blue sky alpaca stockists page and search your area:
Those are the ones! Blue Sky Alpacas Knit Chickens
I'm searching the shop in Guelph Ontario to see what they have. They only list 4 Blue Sky items, but maybe they'd get me the chickens. We'll see.
I have a friend who raises chickens and another about to start, soooo I'd like to make some for gifts!
Susan has so many amazing patterns! I love all of her work!
YES! They are ordering the pattern for me but have the wool at their shop already.
Thanks Kim for the stocklist page!!!!
I can't wait to see your chickens!!!!
It'll be a while!!!! I have other projects to finish and garden season is about to begin!
Glad your Local shop was able to help you out! I look forward to seeing the finished product...even if it does take a while
