    Default Knitting in June

We are having truly crazy weather with frost warnings tonight...this after 90F temperatures just a few days ago. So today i had warm soup for lunch, cocoa in mid afternoon and a hot dinner tonight.

It was the perfect weather for knitting too. I'm working toward finishing the little red coat for DD's baby. Just a bit more edging with buttonholes, then sewing the pieces together. Then a photo for you all!
    Soon!

We got some cool weather back too. But the hot weather hasn't stopped me from striving to finish my sweater. I'm trying to stick to my goal of only 2 projects on the needles at a time, and this sweater has been hoging one of those since March.

Okey-dokey! I'm finished with the knitting part, now on to assembling everything. Still need buttons. It requires 7. I seem to have 6 of everything.

Isn't that just the way it always goes?

Yes, I'm afraid so. No buttons for sale in out tiny town, so I must wait til we travel out a bit farther.

In the meantime, I'm starting a VERY SIMPLE blanket, just something to go fast after all the cables I've been doing lately. Knitting every row, no thinking. Maybe DD will show me how to crochet a shell stitch edge later on.

I bought buttons today! Maybe I'll have a photo soon.
