Lovely new yarn!

Last night I went to a small knitting get-together in town. I wanted to learn how I was supposed to cast on and also figured out how to use a circular needle on a pattern that doesn't really suggest doing so. SUCCESS!

I also picked up yarn for another hoodie for DD's friend's new baby boy. I really love the colors. The one I chose is #260.

Noro Kureyon is fun yarn. Watch out for knots and veggie matter though.

I love the colors. Which colorway did you get?

Amazing greens Janel. Look at #260. Like stained glass windows!
(It cost less than on the site above too!)

Very nice!!!! Is that photo the true size or is it chunkier?

I'd pick #95 for a summer dress, and #185 for a winter sweater for Ivy...

Oh, wait... maybe I should make something for you? Like that sweater I started 3 years ago?

As I continue to knit, I'm not loving the way this yarn is working out. It looked so green at the store. Now it is brown mostly. It even has beige, navy, salmon and black and is so busy for a baby. I'm trying not to use the blue, beige and black so much...

Well, this project is now done. Time to catch up on other things...like reading for book club.

Noro is known for that, weird odd colors in an otherwise pretty colorway.

Here it is. I need to re-sew the right arm because the seam doesn't line up. Sigh. I knit the bottom part on a circular needle and so the stitching together part was not what I was used to.

I think it looks good! I can see what you mean about the color being not quite right for a baby, but for an older boy(like 2+) it would be really cute.

I haven't yet tried knitting on circular needles, but I hear it's really easy? Also, for some reason, I was looking in my knitting box, and I have a pair. Lol. Not really sure where they came from or how long they've been there!

I think it looks great! I love darker colors on babies.

Thanks guys! I'll repair the one sleeve, shouldn't take too long.

I like the browns and greens fine for the little guy, but I guess I'm fussy and didn't want the navy, turquoise, beige, salmon and black along with...just too much going on. I have brown pants to go along with too. (may be too big though...)
