OK, I should be doing other things, but winter is my best time for knitting, so I've started another project, this time a jacket and hat for Ivy...but in a size 2/3. I'm finishing up the back and it is not as tricky as I thought it would be.

Can't wait to see the pics when it's done!

I was at Michael's yesterday and saw a pattern on a ball of yarn that just looked so cute, I had to search around until I found the same pattern on the right color of yarn It's a ruffle edged hat(so I just couldn't do it in the blue that I first saw!) I'm halfway through it and it is so darn cute. The yarn is pink and yellow, it looks like pink lemonade and regular lemonade. I sure hope my friend has a baby girl. My mom makes my niece hats like she has 10 heads or something, every time I see her she's wearing a different one!

I'm trying to find a sweater pattern that I like for Cooper, I just want something super-simple, but can't seem to find just the right one. He needs at least a size 4, or larger depending on how long it takes me

Gee, there's a cute boy's sweater in the book above that I really like...

Today I bought some amazing yarn for a scarf. It's a really strange pattern and I'm excited to work on it! You cast on 450 stitches to start it! I'll just have to wait since there are lots of other things waiting in the line-up!

I love love love the baby patterns from Sublime. I haven't knit any, but i love the way they look. I looked up the patterns you are dong on Rav. They didn't have the beret in the database yet, but I saw the coat. Love it! Is the Beret the one featured on the cover of the booklet? Sooo cute!

450 stitches for a scarf? Must be the full length of the scarf? Interesting. What is the pattern called?

Kim, you are right about the scarf. Look at this site and see a photo of "Linen Stitch Scarf":

The Sublime cover beret is adorable, but not the same as the one I'm trying...which is in stripes. By the way, the coat isn't hard. I'm working on the sleeves now.
PS: I'm wrong! The cover hat IS the one I'm making. (I was thinking of the solid colored hat on the inside cover that matches the smock coat.)

The jacket is done and the model just came for a visit! The hat will be done next.

Tonight I finished a striped beret to match the jacket. It's maroon, green and orange and looks great!

Oh! I'm so glad it fits. Plenty big enough!
