My confession of an addiction...

ok, i figured I would confess a frivolous addiction I have related to my hobby...

you know, so many hobby-ists have them, picking up things related to their hobby that they dont' really need, nor can really use right away, but you just gotta have it?

Mine is not the typical knitting addiction, i am not a major stasher. I buy what I need for projects, and i have plenty of half used skeins, but I don't buy yarn willy nilly. My addiction knitting pattern books, and it drives my husband crazy Lol He says I can't use them as fast as I buy them...but I love them!

I love having a library of patterns waiting for me to pick from for my next project. I'm a sucker for the beautiful pictures they put in knitting books these days and I actually do get enjoyment from simply flipping through them, even when I'm not specifically working on something in that book. Now dont' envision shelves and shelves of knitting books, right now, they take up a little corner of one shelf but I have a huge wish list and I routinely pick one up here or there. By the time I'm old and grey, i could have quite the collection. lol

Seamus is right, i could never adequately use every book, maybe a pattern here or pattern there. And there are plenty of awsome free patterns out there that I love. But for some reason I just can't resist! And i love having options.

Ok there, thats like my little 'knitters anonymous confession'. Does anyone else have any similar confessions for their hobby?

Lol I don't discriminate. I collect all things related to my "hobby of the moment" I have tons of knitting books, rubber stamps, scrapbooking supplies, photography books, and more.

I'm not a yarn whore, though, thankfully. I only tend to buy what I need for a particular project (maybe an extra skein, too, just in case).

I love pattern books but the catch is I love VINTAGE stuff, like from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. So eBay it is!
