My first pair of socks! (pics)

Just wanted to share. I'm really happy with the way they turned out. They don't really stay on Nathalie, but i suspected they wouldn't Biggrin THey do stay on though if I put her little shoes on over them and it looks cute! There is a little room for her to grow in them, so thats good...and maybe they will stay on a tiny bit better when she fills them out.

Very cute!

You could thread a ribbon (or i-cord) through the ankle and make them into more booties to get them to stay on.

I defniitely want to make myself a pair of socks! I posted a pattern on the sock KAL thread that I might do. I also have a bunch of Interweave Knits magazines and they always have a bunch of sock patterns in them.

That pattern iun the KAL thread, i found it through a blog called Knit and Tonic. Have you ever heard of it? She is hysterical. I was going through her gallery of 'losers' (projects she wasn't happpy with) and her commentary had me laughing out loud.

Here's a link if you want to take a peek

I friended Knit 'n' Tonic on Ravelry so I could read her blog -- that's where I link to all the blogs I read. I have only made one of her patterns, Not So Shrunken Cardigan, and it is a nice sweater. I'd love to make many of her other patterns. She'll answer your questions on any pattern you buy from her, great customer service.

So cute!

I remember socks never stay on DS's feet at that age. I'd put his Robeez on just so that his socks would stay on! Hmmm, I wonder if you can crochet Robeez?
