She is such an awesome artist! Her yarn is A M A Z I N G! Shes dyes herself and they colors are even more beautiful in person. She also does special orders (at no extra charge) if you see a color you like in any weight or yarn she carries.
    Just thought I'd share!

I like to look through the yarn she has sold. You can get a better idea of what she can do:

So... is $20 not unreasonable for a bit of sock yarn? I can't see myself paying that.

Hey, I diddnt say it was cheap
For a special project, its worth it. It's not your everyday type yarn though.

Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful. I just can't see myself paying $20 for a bit of yarn when I balk at paying $3.49 for a skein right now.

20 dollars is on the expensive end, but rather standard for the 'high end' yarns made of wools, often hand dyed/handspun. One of my LYS carries Cherry Tree Hill Sock yarn and it is 18.00 a skein for example.

Yarn has a wide spectrum for pricing, it usually depends on the fibre content, the size of the company and how it was made.
