Ok, its been a while since we did our knit-a-longs.....I've used my purse all summer (who cares that a felted wool purse is out of season in august )
Anyway, i figured maybe its time to do something new. Michelle and I were talking and thought it would be fun to do dishrag tag!
Here is how it works.
One person starts out by knitting up a dishrag, whatever pattern they would like. They then send the dishrag, and a new skein of yarn along to another person. That person gets to keep the newly knit dishrag and knits a new one with the new skein of yarn. That new dishrag goes to the next person, again, along with a new skein of yarn...and you keep it going until everyone has both received and given! Often a small token gift is included as well, like a candle, a nice bar of soap, chocolate or something along those lines.
The nice things about this project:
1)Dishrags are useful and easy to do...those of ALL levels can participate
2)Dishrags are a small project, made of cotton, not wool or anything fancy so its affordable!
3)Its fun...i mean gift giving, recieving and knitting all wrapped into one!
And of course crochet is welcome to!
Who would like to join in?
Yes! Count me in! It sounds like fun!
(BTW, I know the Booga Bag KAL was months and months ago, but I've bookmarked that pattern so I can make one soon. It's just so darn cute!)
I would love to but definitely not until after the holidays are over. I'm knitting every spare minute I have to try and finish the projects I hope to have done by Christmas

mandi, we could always put your near the end...assuming the end could in theory bring you to after the holiday season!
I crochet, and would love to join, if you don't mind (I'm sure you don't, but I know I don't post here often )
Count me in, too. I've only knitted one dishrag so far (and still have yet to use it) but I'd like an excuse to knit another. Let's just make sure that all yarns are machine washable and dryable.
Wouldn't a "handwash only" dishrag always be clean?
I'm in, and I think our crocheting friends can get in on this too. I think crochet actually makes better dishrags!
Sounds like fun, count me in! But, Im with Mandi I am in christams knitting HELL can I go towards the end too??
