I went to a knitting "drop-in" gathering last night and picked up some good techniques for finishing off a garment. I love learning these as they make all the difference in how a project looks. I thought I was pretty good at this, but the instructor had lots to offer.
Last night I worked on picking up and knitting stitches for a border - and a new method of sewing shoulder seams together ever so neatly. Next time I go, I want to learn a better way of making button holes in a sweater or jacket. I hate the way the typical patterns suggest. They look sloppy.
I'm impressed with how the teacher can handle so many different types of questions from a diverse group of knitters, from beginner to more experienced.
Sounds like a fun class to go to. I should take a finishing class, I avoid anything with seams right now.
