Ok everyone....tell us

What you are working on at this moment and how its going!

I know that info is scattered across a few threads, but its been pretty quiet around here and I thought it might be neat to get an update on recent projects.

Include a picture if you have one!

I have been working on this queen sized rippled purple and grey blanket for my bed for he past year. I am about half finished and CANT WAIT to be done. There were a few months I diddnt even pick it up though. Ive been so busy, I just wish I had more time to crochet. I also have many misc. little projects going on at any given time too. I will try to take a pic later and post it.
Im excited to see what everyone else is working on!

So I'm returning to my daisy stitch handwarmers...the pattern I posted about in the "I love this pattern!" thread.

Longies, longies, longies. Oh, and a take home outfit for the baby to arrive in the spring. It's on size 0/1 needles, so it will take a while!

Things I've done in the last month

The pattern is from Dale Baby, a striped cardigan and striped pants, in three shades of blue (light blue, light medium blue, and dark medium blue) and three of brown (brown, tan, offwhite)

Oh I love Dale's patterns, but I always think to myself that I never truly have the follow-thru to get anything of theirs done on time to actually use Lol

They had a beautiful white bunting of sorts, that even had a slot for car seats in one of their booklets. But I never could convince myself that i could complete it before my kids grew out of it.

You'll have to show us when its done...or maybe when you take the little one hom in it Biggrin

I am making my first wool skirty, but I do loom knitting and can't find a pattern so I am just winging it at this point. I need to take progress pics.

LOVE those pink ruffles!! Too cute!

Kim -- your handwarmers look great!

I made a set of baby booties today to match the hat I made a few days ago. I used the pattern "Bev's Stay on Booties" http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/bevs-stay-on-booties.html

I also made another hat the other day! I'm so addicted, this isn't funny!!!

I really need to set aside more time to work on it! Its HUGE and is taking FOREVER. I am refusing to start anything else until this is done (so hard to resist though)

I'm working on 4 things right now...

1. A huge shawl that is all garter stitch and is so freaking boring. I started it in October and it's now 50% done.

2. A lace scarf. I need to do about 6 more repeats of the pattern (there are about 35 repeats total). It's my first lace project and I LOVE IT. I totally recommend this pattern for people wanting to try lace. It's http://www.knitty.com/issuespring05/PATTbranchingout.html

Here's my progress so far. I need to block it, of course, once I finish it.

3. A cable sweater for DS. At the moment, the only thing I need to do is seam up the sides. So it's about 98% done. Here are a couple pics from much earlier in the project:

4. Yesterday, I started an illusion dishcloth. I don't have a picture yet. Here's the pattern, though: http://www.illusionknits.citymax.com/f/Mother_Earth_illusion_cloth.pdf

Wow, that's a lot of blanket! I have a rule of only 2 projects on the needles at a time. I would love to say only one, but sometimes you need a break!

I've just finished a pair of wrist warmers, and I am about to begin a hat for DP, and probably a hat for myself, and DS needs some new gloves, so I'll be knitting mittens at some point, not that they take long!

Janel, it most definitly is ALOT of blanket. Two at a time is a good rule though. I do need a break from time to time with this project. It is so boring at times, just single crochet over and over and over and over...=)
I will be happy to see it completed, although Im thinking about changing the colors in my room now, lol.

I just finished three versions of my dishcloth pattern (so sick of slipping stitches right now!) Here is my favorite:

I also just finished some clogs for DH. They are in the washing machine felting right now. I've never felted in a front-loader, but I managed to turn off the spin cycle so I think it should be okay.

I've got several projects that I work on a bit at a time. I am making a potholder in the garterlac pattern with two strands of cotton together, but my hands get crampy pretty quickly on that one.

I also made a couple bibs for Jameson, and have one on the needles right now. The red and blue ones are done, the modular one is done but need a button, and the orange one is hibernating.

And I'm working very slowly on Jeanie from the latest knitty. I LOVE the pattern and can't wait to have it done, but I have to work on it only when Jameson is asleep or I can get out to knitting group alone, and I think I am going to order knitpicks harmony needles to make it easier. The seasilk is too slippery on my metal needles.

Glad to see Gorlitsa doing the garterlac!!! I really enjoyed making an entrelac blanket for my grandson.

My knitting is at a standstill. I'm in a book reading group and that takes up lots of time. Also thinking about gardening season coming up...and a new puppy arriving in February.

I seem to get the urge though every September....and there's plenty of yarn in the house too.

I don't know if I've introduced myself here. Hi I'm Aisling. I post mainly on May 2008. I have 5 kids - 9, 7, 5, 2, and due in May of course.

Just off the needles - pink baby hat for shower gift (along with a sling & some store bought cuteness)

Currently knitting on - blue & white striped seed stitch hat for my baby boy, pocket book slippers to wear during my belly dance class over my socks & see if that doesn't keep my feet a little warmer than just socks, my first pair of socks, which I keep setting aside so they are taking forever. I'm using cokie A's BFF socks pattern (it is on her blog, comes up in a search, I found it through Ravelry).

Ashnbill - baby hats are absolutely my favorite thing to knit! They go so quickly & the gratification can't be beat Smile Plus? They look ADORABLE on baby. For a girl try 5 rows fun fur, then a cotton for the rest of the hat, though it's no good when they get grabby because of the fun fur getting in their mouths, my daughter was born in October so it worked great for her.

Hi Aisling! I will write that down. I just started knitting a few weeks ago and I'm not that good yet. I don't know how to add a different color yarn Lol But, I'm writing it down and will try it when my skills are a little better Biggrin

I just finished up the Swell hat from Knitty. OMG it is way to small!...hahaha. But most of the people on ravelry said theirs was too small also, so I think it was just the pattern. Here is a pic of it.
