Default Sharing an FO! (and some WIPs too) :)

Here is Nathalie's vest. I basted on the zipper yesterday and DH used the sewing machine to put it on (yes, he is better with the sewing machine than I am!). So now its finally complete!

I think I mentioned this before but I knit it to go with an outfit I purchased a while back. I'm not giving her the outfit until Christmas day though, but figured there is no reason to not use the vest now, right?

Here are pics of the two mitten patterns I'm working on. The first pair has prioirty because I plan on giving htem as a Christmas gift:

I can't decide if I like the color combo yet. It looks a little old fashioned to me right now, we'll see. The white is for the lining on the inside of the mitten.

Here is the other pair I'm working on:

I haven't decided what to do wtih this pair yet. I may give them to someone as a gift, or i may just keep them for myself! Again, not entirely sure of the color combo. Actually, I like the colors, but I don't know if I used them in the right places as the dark green and brown are harder to see against eachother.

    Thanks for looking!

Nice stuff! I like the green and green, I don't think it's old-fashioned.

As for the second mitt, I agree that the contrast between the brown and the green isn't enough, but the colors are nice.

Yeah, I may frog them and start over. I could put the browna nd light green together for hte main part of the mitt and then the light green and dark green for the band on the cuff.

Man, i don't want to start over though. Haha.

Oh my goodness, love that vest!!! The mittens are beautiful. I don't think the greens looks old-fashioned at all.

Nathalie is a lucky lady! (Chose her Mom well!) I see lots of terrific outfits in her future!

As to the mitts, all are beautiful. I especially love the subtle brown and green combo and think when they are finished that you should mail them to me. LOL! DON'T frog them!!!!
