    Default Summer Knitty is Here!!!

I've only been checking obssesively for ohhhhh the past 3 weeks or so haha.

Also, sorry i have not been around as lof late. Approaching full term, body is feeling the pain(and exhaustion) and in my un-air-conditioned house I have admittedly not been doing a lot of knitting!

But i just HAD to come by and say the new knitty is out!

I want to figure out how I could get the pattern only, not the kit, so I could incorporate it into a blanket.

    Kim,

Does this come out only online- or do they do a paper magazine as well? and if they do both, is there anything extra in the paper copy than the online version?

I haven't done a lot of looking into magazines or online patterns so I'm new at this end of it.

    thanks,

    thanks,
I'm so sorry i never answered this qustion, i'm only now seeing it!

Knitty is only an online magazine...all free. People submit their patterns and knitty chooses which ones to 'publish'

I love magazines...its a good way to get bang for your buck. You pay about 7 dollars or so (I know, a lot for a magazine, but still)...and you get 30 patterns!

Seamus gave me a subscription to Interweave Knits for mother's day. I love the magazine, it comes out quarterly.

Interweave also has another knitting publication called knitscene, i think that comes out twice a year? Maybe quarterly. YOu can get to them from their homepage: http://www.interweave.com

    Other noteworthy magazines:

Vogue Knitting has 3 different ones
Vogue Knitting (very strange patterns sometimes)
    knit 1...'hip' but still strange
knit simple...carers more to a mainstream crowd

you can check them out here:

Rowan also has a magazine. Has a very 'European' feel to it.

Rebecca os also a neat european magazine...comes out twice a year...plus a couple of special issues (i love their baby issues! Although i don't own any of them)

There are others....but these are the ones i like

It is over 90 degrees and I can't even THINK about knitting..finishing that blanket....starting the new jacket pattern, etc
    September will come soon, right?
