    Default Two down!

I'm *trying* to get old projects finished. I'm notorious for starting something, putting it away for even a day when someone comes to visit, and forgetting about it... Sometimes for years. I've got so many unfinished projects, it's unreal. So, I'm forcing myself to finish old things before I start new ones. I haven't been very good at sticking to the "start no new ones" thing, as I did make my son's Halloween costume (but I did finish it!) and I did start another afghan, but I DID finish 2 other afghans first. Check them out!

I kind of had to finish this one... I gave my cousin an afghan as a high school graduation present and promised her younger sister I'd do the same for her. She's graduating in June, so I had to get cracking!

And this one is basically a scrap afghan... My MIL gave me about 5 large trash bags FULL of yarn that she's not going to use. Most of it must be leftovers from other projects... Lots of single 3 oz skeins. Anyway, I don't know what I'm going to do with it. Probably donate it to Project Linus or something. It's bright and cheery.

The first one had been sitting around for at least 6 years and the 2nd one for at least 2 years. I figure, if I can finish 2 old ones for every new one, I will eventually get through them all!

    Woohoo for finishing old projects!!!

And I really like both of those! That second one is a cool idea for using up extra yarn.

*laugh* It's not really fluorescent... Just orange. But knowing DH's family, it was probably something to do with killing Bambi's mommy.

I can totally sympathize with UFO syndrome....i'm up to my ears in UFOs.

Both of these came out really nice! The scrap one has quite a nostaligic look to me, reminds me of something I would have found in my older siblings' room when i was a little kid
