Wonder Knitter

When I had trouble with an i-cord, someone suggested a spool knitter (like we had when we were kids)

I bought this one today:
The Clover Wonder Knitter

It's easy and FAST. This makes making felted bags so much nicer. I made the 6 pin i-cord. I'll have to felt it to see how it turns out.

I was soooo tempted to buy this because I fully expected the i-cord to take f-o-r-e-v-e-r! But thankfully it only took a couple of hours to get the whole thing done.

Can't wait to see your bag Smile I posted mine in the KAL thread.

I like that wonder knitter, didn't see it when I was out looking. Can't wait to hear how yours turned out. Lol

I am so glad you posted this! I've been looking into spool knitters because of all the icords I'm making for the shorties, and was wondering if that one was any good. Where did you find it?

I saw one in Michaels when I was there on Saturday, when I was looking for them they didn't have. Lol

Okay, I'll start visiting Michaels! Did the paper have a 40% off coupon today? Our paper never showed up. Sad

I got it at Michaels. It was by the needles, not the other loom knitters. It's was $7 or $8. The i-cord turned out great, but I'll have to see how it turns out when I felt it.

You can do a 3 stitch i-cord or a 6 stitch one with this. I did the 6 stitch.

I don't think it would be worth it for a short (less than 1 foot) i-cord. For the 6 foot one, it was very much worth it.

I bought a wooden spool knitter for my grandson before Christmas. I remember years of fun with one. But his family has just moved and I think it won't reappear for a while. Probably in some box....I think it would be great for dexterity, coordination, patience....but he is far away and there's not much chance for us to work together on this.
